Old designers left, new designers came in I imagine. Guess they didn’t like the old way that was working perfectly fine and wanted to make it their own. Some game designers just love to make things complicated.

Edited by GalaxySpider: 7/8/2021 3:56:11 AMHas nothing to do with designers. They once explained how the hard modes were made. Every Raid was created with ALL of the mechanics we see in Hard mode. Then they dumb it down, change mechanics, making them easier, more forgiveable....that's what we knew as "normal" back in D1. This process is time consuming for them, requires additional long bug fixing and test running...for a mode everyone plays one or two times maybe (so a lot of work for nothing basically). It is understandable, especially in D2's current cycle which has to deliver content for every season and people crying nonstop for more. When Last Wish launched there was no hard mode and they also explained that there.
