Make Roaming Supers Great Again (In PVE, please not PVP)

I can’t remember the last time I went a roaming super in a raid. I think Datto puts it very well in his stasis video. He says that there is no point in running a super like fists of havoc, when you can just pop bubble and shoot the enemies with a hefty weapon buff. Everything in this game is too easy to use a roaming super for. My proposition is that we either buff enemies to become a little more tankier or do more damage, or we just buff roaming supers to be as good as well and bubble. At this point in the game if you were given a choice between well of radiance and stormcaller, everyone would pick well. This needs to change.

  • Dawnblade, nova warp, hammer of sol and spectral blades are really the only lacking mobile supers for add clear. Sentinel kills everything, arcstrider kills everything, burning maul LITERALLY kills everything, striker can kill a lot of enemies (but top tree is kind of limited in usage), stormcaller can kill a lot of enemies but its slow. These supers aren't bad by any means but even if they were stronger it wouldn't change that well or bubble are just better options for true endgame because of how strong they are for your team. Honestly for pve, just give every mobile super (minus celestial goldie, but including thundercrash) a 25% flat damage boost (more so for some than others because some of them suck) to give them more strength for said add clear. Synthoceps have spoiled me for my titan and whenever I do take them off they do feel not AS great but the supers I listed above still get the job done well. They would obviously take away 25% of that damage from synthoceps to balance it out because then they would be TOO strong.

    • I agree, all supers should be... well.... SUPER in PvE.

      • I want less mobile supers. I love the sheer power behind a 1-and-done type super. Top Tree Golden Gun is the only exception because of the sheer urgency when you activate it!

        • Not every super has to be stellar in PvE. Some supers are better in certain situations than other supers, as it should be. Fists may not be great in wide open areas, but if you're in PvP and your enemies are in tight spaces, you can easily mow down multiple players or at least send them fleeing. I will agree that Nova Warp could use some tuning up, though.

I think the main issue is that the raids are team based. Well is a VERY GOOD super for the team because it can be charged up relatively quickly and it greatly helps everyone on your team. Bubble does the same thing. A roaming super is great for add clear, but doesn’t really do much for your team in most instances. There are also quite a few bosses that don’t play nice with roaming supers. For instance, Dendron is really hard to beat down with a roaming super because he is too far away from the ground. Chaos reach, in this case, is preferable to most roaming supers because you can actually hit Dendron without putting yourself at risk of falling to an untimely death. There are also bosses that CAN be beaten down with rush-down supers, but they can also be just as easily damaged by those other stationary supers. Those supers like chaos reach just have more utility in PVE. If you can aim, you can hit for damage with those supers and you don’t have to risk a boss stomp by getting close.
