You’re essentially doing the same thing the Hive did to Taeko and her fireteam on Titan every time you use the Ruinous Effigy.
Just a thought...

2 RepliesFunny how the weapons made by ruinous effigy are so good at taking out the crystals in savathun's song...

1 ReplyThe Hive were making philosopher stones. We're making touchdowns with energy balls.
-
1 ReplyIt’s in the Hands of my warlock so he’ll know better... As for my hunter... that’s a different Story
-
6 RepliesJokes on you, I ain’t got it yet. Whenever I go to Titan, there ain’t enough people focused on contact to summon and kill the marionette in time.
-
2 RepliesI just think of Gru saying "OK, my turn" everytime I fire that thing.
-
9 RepliesHence why it has been dismantled and left for dead. I like killing my prey with bullets anyways.
-
2 RepliesDredgen Sol you make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

But I'm willingly doing it to myself. So it isn't quite as bad.

i can't wait till the witch queen so I can use the ruines efegy to get some revenge, savathuns song has always been my favorite strike.

6 Repliesbut they tea bagged me!

7 RepliesEdited by Tiger (Harrowed): 7/13/2020 10:51:10 PMMaybe, but then again I’m not the hive. I’m not trying to wipe out all life because my religion says so. Also, that thing the hive did to tako is probably a little more tame compared to the other stuff they have done.

I really like that the lore tab mentions that Effigy actually drains our light as power for it to fire, and that Banshee says our Guardian doesn't notice so it's fine. We're strong enough in the Light that our own guns have started eating us, but we have so much power we're like "schwhatevs, lets make some dudes into balls lmao"
-
1 ReplyIt's fine. We gain Light by killing things anyway, so it's perpetuatal.
-
1 ReplyThat is kinda the point. Revenge is sweet
-
15 RepliesWe really arnt that different from the hive. They kill to prove they are the strongest, we kill to prove we are the strongest and for loot. They use a power they hardly understand, and we use a power we hardly understand. They are pawns of the dark, we are pawns of the light.

deep down we’re all a little bad

If you can't beat 'em? Do it better than 'em

6 RepliesWell at least it’s being used to fight evil. Fight fire with fire or fight lightning to a volcano
-
2 RepliesThey made cristals We make balls Tottaly different.
-
1 ReplyThe whole quest line for that gun is also using our enemies power to get stronger I think it is pretty fitting

1 ReplyTrue. You could call it REVENGE.

10 RepliesWasn’t it generally accepted that the entire thing was pretty much a hoax with Taeko? Like hadn’t prior lore made it clear that Taeko was killed somewhere else or something, and that Savathun was just trying to trick us? Also I distinctly recall there being a lot more void crystals than the game said were guardians. “We came down here as a squad of nine.” But there are like over 15+ void crystals. And ghosts dialogue “these are all guardians” coupled with “Fake-o”s singular void crystal implies that there is a 1:1 ratio for guardian:crystal. Also, another issue is that at the time of that strike, the player Guardian was the only one to have light. Everyone else lost their light while their ghosts had some healing capability but nothing beyond that. So how exactly did the Hive manage to harness the Light of guardians to make Void Crystals? Idk there’s a page on reddit or something that discusses it all.
