Altar of Sorrows is a trap and we're playing into their hand.
So as I'm sitting there massacring thousands of hive in the altar of sorrows I starting thinking. "this feels off". Like, it's as if they want to be slaughtered and sacrificed.
Now, these red hive are part of the Inquisition of the Damned iirc, who are all into necromancy and sacrificial suicide, particularly to resurrect Oryx, and I can help but feel that 1) The altars are built to bring back Oryx or 2) resurrect or empower something... Else. Ala The Darkness.
The loot feels like bait to manipulate us into participating.

2 RepliesI think what we're doing is stealing their sacrifices and essentially bringing it to a dead end All the Hive and nightmares that make it into the green pool succesfuly sacrifice themselves to greater powers, those that we kill are (in their eyes) wasted

You can kill them as sacrifice....or they kill themselves as sacrifice. But only 1 way gets you hive themed weapon that is most likely given to you by a hive ... So you could say they apreciate your help 😂

It does seem like a "murder batery" like the dreaming city, maybe crota's daughters are feeding their own worm?
