ITs a mix blend of dedicated and P2P. i have ran ping plotter and its shows that thru my routes my internet takes to a server i keep getting connected to keeps having massive spikes and when I finally reach bungies server I have 100% packet loss and I continuously get kicked from IB matches. I have massive amounts of lag in QP/COMP. its not my end and its not this dudes end. its either somewhere between the host server whether it be P2P or dedicated their is a loss of connection. And id venture to say his issue is like mine and thousands of other players. Bungies net coding and routing and whatever else is , for lack of a better word, garbage
Agree with your assessment. This just started happening in the last few days, only with this game. Saturation or otherwise somewhere between us and Bungie.
Other games are dedicated servers and destiny is solely your connection to other players rather that to a bungie side server. This is why other games work while destiny doesn’t. It heavily relies on YOUR connection being pristine
All say the basic same thing its connectivity issue but it’s a direct connection I have and everything else is working fine, was playing yesterday with no issues, strange
jitter is a little high. If you are wired to the router and it is a new occurrence it may be due to some ISP issues in your area. It has happened to me before, they were doing some work a few blocks away and I started getting packet loss and jitter.
