annual pass and now battle pass this type of content it's working on games like fortnite and apex not for a game like destiny that needs stories missions, raids, strikes and pvp maps
The entire d2 it's a mess so I'm not going to waste my money on this game until it's fixed

98 RepliesNo thanks for me. I vastly prefer this model of content. D1 has huge entry walls for new players, a new player in D2 can get most of the content (New Light) and current season for $10. That’s insane. If anyone remembers in D1 the droughts of content between expansions, where there was hardly anything to do for months on end. Seasons are where it’s at IMO.

That's why they advocate playing in groups of friends. The group of friends can provide a lot of their own entertainment. Meaning the game can be far leaner on actual content. The solo player needs actual content. I think developers hate this. The social group mentality has, in my opinion led to the dumbing down in a lot of gaming. I tried Fortnite out long ago and scratched my head at why it was so popular. It was barely a game by my standards. Groups of kids however will "play" this for hours on end, squawking down their mic whilst having to have the latest emote and skins. I have two sons. It gets expensive.

How about we go back to D1 period?
-
Yes go back to MONTHS of zero content inbetween paid dlc that separated the community
-
Annual pass solved the problem of draughts between big releases. I'd rather keep it.

Edited by Wheelaa1: 9/1/2019 2:22:13 PMI don't care how the content is delivered, I just want it to be fun to play and an engaging entertaining experience. And this is why D2 will continue to fail. The fun factor just isn't there. They could produce the greatest Destiny content ever, but the weak D2 gunplay, the lack of excitement, the lack of fun, kill it before it has even dropped. Then add in that a lot of the content that is put out isn't that good anyway, with a lot of it being really very poor indeed - PvP is atrocious, strikes are terrrible, none of the 6 raids are worthy of even tying Crota's shoelaces, Reckoning, Gambit, the list of dissappointing activities in the game is virtually the same as the full list of activities in the game... D1 - small amount of content, huge amount of fun. D2 - huge amount of content, small amount of fun.

K bye

Bye. There will be plenty of new players to replace you. You will not be missed. Hope you find a new game that meets all your needs. Just don’t come here and continue to whine. You said your peace... now GO!!!! Wish you the best!
-
I wish. I actually enjoyed that. None of this giving away all the shit you already paid for and this "content" we're getting now. Also none of this "jump to the end bs" not a true destiny player if you dont play everything or at least everything. Sadly it wont happen we have to think of our poor small indie studio working nights and crunching. God I could never live with myself if I asked them to make a good game so I'll take whatever they give me.
-
The funny part of this post is that I remember the opposite one from D1! “Spread the content because is to much time with out new one”. I’m not saying you’re wrong or right.
-
What? So we can get a terrible content drought like in taken king? Even though I loved taken king fuuuuuuckkkkk that
-
17 RepliesYou mean, 2 weeks of content followed by 6 months of nothing to do?
-
Ahh yes, D1 style DLCs. Do a few missions, level and do a raid if there is one, then face the content drought for the next four or five months..good times, good times.
-
29 RepliesLol you really think that was better than what we have now? Nostalgia has blinded you greatly.
-
I agree, 2 miniscule COO size dlcs,, year 1 I decent size dlc year 2, then 8 months of nothing. Year 2 A medium to small size dlc,, and raids brought up to light year 3. Let's definitely go back to that
-
Oh so you'd like if we had 2 days of content and then months of content drought after that? Why is everyone so blinded by d1 nostalgia.
-
more work less money for Bungie, 2 bad for us
-
You would rather have everything be locked behind a paywall, rather than having a free track that gives people some of the seasonal gear for free... ok.
-
Nah, ima give Bungie a chance to see how it works out
-
Edited by CommonBlueberry: 8/31/2019 2:33:10 PMWhy? The new style is literally the old style with more content for a year
-
2 RepliesGet the hell over it. You guys complain over the most minor shit.
-
So one dlc and content droughts for months on end?
-
2 RepliesYes let's go back to nothing new to do for an entire year, then get a dlc and have nothing to do for an entire year.....Wait you could do that, don't buy the seasons.
-
It wont be fixed. Im just planning on getting shadowkeep. Not gonna do the seasons. Gives me more time to play more games than constantly play 1. Destiny r doing good to turn players off. In fact once done shadowkeep story, wouldnt surprise me if i uninstall destiny 2 and keep destiny 1 on ps4.

Just stop posting entirely

1 ReplyEdited by BARACK OBAMA: 8/30/2019 10:45:01 PMCould you elaborate further? The Annual Pass worked much better than any D1 expansion setup. Yes, it had flaws, but it was better than Y1 where it was maybe two or three weeks of interest at most for the expansion release and then nothing for 4-5 months and Y2 and Y3, while having more substantial post-launch content, went throughly dry by December, leaving a whole lot of nothing until the Spring Update that came in April. With the Annual Pass, there is content throughout the year. Not all that content (Season of Drifter) was to everyone's taste, but it also gave us new things to do and pursue most of the time with something going on almost every week.
