Along with a lot of other companies Bungie are trying to get a piece of the Epic Fortnite cash for cosmetics success. I see profound changes on the horizon for the acquisition of anything that looks remotely ‘cool’ in the game, it really will be ‘pay for pretty’ or look like a hobo. You can only guess at the revenue from silver but as they’ve pointed out it allowed development of Zero hour, but with high price DLC on top I think double dipping is taking it too far.

 • You're right to be concerned. Destiny microtransactions are forecast to generate more revenue that Destiny game and dlc sales.

 • Even if this is the case, they’ll need to up their game on cosmetic content for purchase. The last few seasons of Eververse have been pretty mediocre when it comes to armor sets. This last season especially was just bad. Here’s hoping the armor designers get a second wind of inspiration and start making the cool futuristic armor we’ve seen glimpses of in the past.
