Remove blackout from the game or nerf it.

The melee damage enemies do is wayyy too op. The menagerie has encounters were you need to get up close to enemies. And don’t get me started with the reckoning, honestly the worst activity in the game and blackout dosen’t help when the swords CAN 1 SHOT YOU EVEN IF YOU’RE IN A WELL! Do something about it Bungie

    • Blackout has already been nerfed so it doesn’t one hit kill you at full health. It’s a great addition that makes the game mode more challenging. Learn to overcome and adapt or wait till the daily reset and the modifier changes.

      • I actually love it in the Menagerie when blackout is on and we get to the basement (under croft?) with all the hive rushing you in the dark halls. That is some intense and serious fun.

        Blackout is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be changed or removed but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

      • Oh no the game has some challenge to it, everybody grab your pitchforks, jumping puzzles, timers, no matchmaking in nightfalls, enhancement cores , it's always something with you lot, it's gotten down to blackout now. [spoiler]sucks to suck i suppose.[/spoiler]

        • I will only play Menagerie and Reckoning on blackout if it's paired with heavyweight or grenadier. Otherwise I ain't dealing with it unless I'm in a fireteam. What -blam!-ing weirdo thought that shielded ogre fight would be more fun when he can bash 4 people in one stroke? That shit is traumatizing 😂😂

            Stop crying. Back in the day we played NF with blackout. And i'm talking about the NFs where you went to orbit if your whole fireteam was dead. I like a bit of a challenge.

              • I understand what they wanted to go for with this mod, an assassination kinda feel. But honestly it doesn't work due to the fact that THIS IS A GAME ABOUT EXPLOSIONS AND SPACE DUST! Just make it turn the radar off

              • Here here. I already hated it in the Reckoning. Now it's still here in the Menagerie. During the Riposte encounter you need to break the shield with a sword. Which means the boss will melee you. With blackout on that means death. Me and my friend thought we were smart. Put down a well off Radiance and a ward of dawn. We though this could tank it. We were wrong. We are both 750L with the two defensive supers in game and the boss still insta kills us. They removed glass but they should've removed blackout. This modifier has a history of being bad. It had to be tweaked before when it was put into strikes. Nobody wanted to the fallen captain strike with that modifier on. Just remove it by now.

                  • next week what will be the burn for that launch week of heroic menagerie? Cause if it is arc combined with blackout I can't imagine the posts that will pop up. Most on here are all about the get gud response but I will just have a bit of popcorn ready for the groups sent to orbit a few dozen times.

                  • List of New Modifiers/ Reprised ones. Any ones you don’t recognize I made up, so take it with a grain of salt. Airborne - 2x Damage while Airborne Exposure - 3x Shield strength, but regeneration is 3x longer. Fresh Troops - Additional Enemies per squad. Juggler - Kills don’t drop ammo for your currently equipped weapon. Small Arms - 2x primary weapon damage. Specialist - 2x Special Weapon Damage. Elementary - Elemental Damage boosts Damage if the same type for a short duration. (2x) The Cycle - Anilities recharge slower, but using abilities Grants the others a brief period of bonus charge time. Floor is Lava - health does not regenerate while ground. Balance - all Damage boosted by 2x, Damage decreases with continuous use of that ability or weapon without changing. Blunt - Increases body shot damage and the damage of melee, Grenades, shotguns, Rocket Launchers, and Grenade Launchers. Reduces precision damage and the damage of supers, Snipers, Scout Rifles, Trace Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles. Needlepoint - Increases precision damage and the damage of supers, Snipers, Scout Rifles, Trace Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles. Reduces body shot damage and the damage of melee, Grenades, shotguns, Rocket Launchers, and Grenade Launchers. Spinfoil Hat - Allows you to see the unseen. Reduces armor by .25x and increases incoming damage by 2x. Gung--blam!- - Increases movement speed. You take 2x Damage while standing still. Redux - Increased Weapon Damage 3x. Reduces heavy and Special ammo drops and prevents ability usage. Weightless - increased jump height and movement speed, and reduces fall damage. Enemy melees knock you back. Nine Lives - Reduces health regen Speed. Eliminates respawn timer but you only have 9 lives per player.

                    • do you remember that blackout got nerfed a while back, used to be that if you got meleed you died no matter what. they changed it to hurt bad but not one hit kill if you are at appropriate power levels for the activity. so no, it's fine now
