Competitive is completely ruined.

Well, i am officially done. I took my time before i make this post. I tested my limits and my patience. I gave Crucible a well worth it chance to prove that is actually playable. But, that's it. I'm officially done. Well done to the devs who literally ruined something that kept us playing Destiny 2. Now, i know, i know. It's only for a few weeks. But, for people like myself who are battling for Legend it is a big deal. Been stack going back and forth from Mythic-Fable and vise versa. I'm not angry or mad or hate anyone who uses this idiotic Tonic buff. I'm disappointed by the incompetence of the devs for not 'testing', 'thinking' and 'calculating' what would happen with this before they released it. My idea of a Competitive PVP was always to be separated from PVE. I'm not saying separate the population or split Destiny players into 2 groups. I'm talking about separating the mechanics. Good, descent PVP competitive players, and i am sure most if not all would agree is to have more gunfights, which also tests movement and teamwork. Thus, skillful players would have a blast testing themselves against other skillful players. For example: - Limit supers according to Game Mode. - Make exotic gear less relevant in Competitive Gameplay. - Give a chance to PVE players to claim PVP gear without actually having to go through hell to get it on Competitive PVP - like us PVP players have a chance to get PVE gear easier. - Events such as this, should not effect Competitive Gameplay. The reason is, as of now, there's always been an issue going on for PVP. First was Shards of Galanor, my ears are still ringing from it. Listening to hunters spamming it constantly. Then we had One Eyed Mask, i don't think i even need to explain it. And now we have Spectral Blades, which lasts waaaaaayyyyy too long, long enough if u get an unfortunate spawn you die twice or even three times from it. And, on top of that, we now have to deal with grenade spams, and handheld nova. Now calculate all that and ask yourself. What's left of the gunfights? I'll tell you what. Few brave souls, that stand back and snipe because they are scared to move or don't have the option to move because of the grenades all over the place. Few other brave souls who are willing to YOLO their lives just to get a kill. And, few others who once they realize whats going on in the lobby they play around with emotes. I'm not the best player ever, i don't think i will ever be. But i like challenges. I love gunfights, i do love working on my movement, testing my aim and coming across better players, or "try hards" as most of you call them. Because that's the fun of it. That's how you learn and you become better. But unfortunately at the moment Competitive is literally granted unplayable. I was talking to one of the guys on the enemy teams today. Asked him why are you doing this. Why kept spamming handheld nova. His response was genuine. "Because everyone is doing it, i lost 1k points just in few days, i'm sorry". This is what devs did to people. People are forced to use something they don't enjoy using. I know coding ain't easy but i'm sure they can figure a way to fix this. If not then Competitive will die out until the event is over. P.S: Before any PVE players start been toxic etc. I do play PVE, i play a lot of PVE, and i enjoy it. But if PVP is where i go to get serious, not toxic, serious. Because a challenge is always needed to keep you interested. Thanks for the read lads.

  • This is the thing that ruined comp? I can think of at least 5 other things off the top of my head that makes it toxic, and those aren't temporary.
