Nerf Blade Barrage in pvp please

3 RepliesYou won't find much support around here unfortunately. According to guardian.gg, almost 3/4 of the community mains hunters, and 80% of those hunters play Blade Barrage. It's falling on deaf ears friend, but if helps, I'm on the same train as you. Tracking on the blades need to be removed, and it needs to be one giant throw of 20 knives, not two individual throws of 10 each (meaning you can toss the super in two directions). Oh, and Shards of Galanor PvP kills should only reward about 15% of your super back per kill, not 45%, that's ridiculous. You dont see Crown of Tempest doing that for Stormtrance kills, or Skull of Dire Ahamkara doing that for Nova Bomb.

You say this while titans and warlocks can still 1 shot you while using it, rather nerf graviton forfeit. Hunters will be much worse off.

A nerf to its attack speed, armor and explosion radius. why you may ask? Well, its too quick to dodge or react. Its a damn tank and can shutdown a nova bomb. And i get down to a sliver from being over 7 meters away from 1 knife.

1 ReplyThere's no good answer to this. Statically there's more hunter mains in this game...especially in pvp. I think Bungie has been trying to ween people off of the class by introducing "compelling" exotics and playstyles on the other classes. Nova Warp, one eyed mask, etc.. Thinking the "OP" qualities would get players to jump ship and try something new. I think they under-anticipated the popularity of blade barrage because all but nightstalker were roaming supers - and that maybe the hunter community would find a burst kill lame. Enter shards of galanor to spice things up. Being a hunter main, I hate to say this but the class has a history of attracting lowest common denominator playstyles. All throughout Destiny it's been plagued with copy/paste loadouts and the latest way to get an easy quick kill. Sure, titans had/have their skating and warlocks had the ram, but it always seems like hunters are the kings of mastering the exploit. Be it blink shotgun, the arcstrider meta, or the blade barrage - it seems like Bungie is always one step behind in encouraging a variety of playstyles in the class. Until then, it's an army of dust rock blues, lunas/trust, and coil. I know there's a variety of reasons for this - jumping, agility, responsiveness. But man, after killing five opponents at once just because I happened upon them - It just kind of feels like a shallow victory. I hope Bungie finds some creative ways to encourage more variety within hunters.

1 ReplyHow about you just remove the invincibility when using it. You can get to a slither of health into the group, but as soon as you activate it, you can't be killed. By neither head shots, rockets, grenades. That's what most annoying. You can't be killed out of it like all the original supers (eg: Fist of Havoc activated in the 1st downwards slam) Fix that and that will make it more strategic to use. Although Nova Warp requires a 3 man team shoot from a distance to take down before killing everyone.

At the most... Give it a startup animation so there’s A CHANCE that a Guardian can try to dodge without Blinking.
