<Alright. Let me say that I don't really like the Stranger. I felt like leaving her alone would've been fine with me. But adding things on to her drew her back in. Let's talk about "the Stranger's Future" as I call it. It's the future that is caused by the Vex unleashing the Progeny upon the world, but ultimately failing and having the Darkness take over. That's the key, the Darkness takes over, not the Hive or Taken. They are gone, replaced by more Vex. Let's see if we can pull scenarios and theories together to figure out a timeline. We never kill the Heart of the Black Garden. The Heart doesn't damage the Traveler. It's more akin to holding open a wound and never letting it heal. This is opposed to the Hive ritual in Chamber of Night, which was like making a deeper incision. This is when the Heart builds up enough strength to power the Progeny at full capacity. The Progeny then go on to decimate the Hive, the arch-enemy of the Vex. With the Hive gone and the Cabal suppressed eternally, the Vex turn their eyes to us once more. This is when the Traveler, feeling threatened, wakes up. This pushes back the Progeny, maybe even killing them. This is when the Darkness makes its way here. The Deep proceeds to annihilate the remnants of Sol, leaving only few survivors. The survivors are the Stranger's crew. They send her back in time to stop the Heart. By killing the Heart, the Traveler begins to HEAL. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Because the Traveler is healing, it has a better chance against the Darkness. However, the Traveler has to wake at some point. So the Cabal bring in the Red Legion and that wakes up the Traveler. However, it's stronger now than it was in the Stranger's Future. This would be the key difference. However, it may not be enough. The Vex and FWC still predict total annihilation and the Hive are still around. We're -blam!-ed but let's be honest, we have a better chance now than ever. Thoughts?>
