Graviton Lance needs to be nerfed
The crucible would be fun if not for the rampant use of Graviton Lance. Its ridiculous how every single game i get mapped from a thousand miles away by this stupid gun. NERF THIS MONSTROSITY

I agree that the graviton lance is out of control right now... but should it really be nerfed? I think the real problem is lack of answers and no real balance... sometithat bungie should fix... and might be fixing with forsaken coming out.... I see the reason that all anyone runs in comp and trials is graviton an antiope, cause it’s all super easy no skill weapons. There are no real ways to work around it... that’s a balance problem. People of sufficient skill at any given time should be able to swap out to 3-4 guns That can contend with graviton. Buff and rework other legendaries and exotics. There should be no reason in destiny with how many guns there that no other scout rifle/what ever can’t keep up. So maybe tweak the graviton. But if bungie drops the nerf hammer... it won’t fix the problem. Something else we’ll just take it’s place and the graviton well once again just sit in people’s vaults with the other underused weak exotics.

1 ReplyDon’t think it should be nerfed, but I do agree they need to buff other exotics to at least be competitive. There is no reason for me to play a game with the variety of weapons that D2 has and face a fire team only using GL. Holding down all 3 zones. That’s just... (insert word here). That should never be possible.

I don’t mind exotics being over powered but if your going to make one a beast make people work for it not let it drop. I’ve grinded nearly every quest specific exotic accept world line zero and I feel no reward for any of them in the crucible. If Polaris Lance was as OP as graviton I’d be ok with that due to the exclusivity but making a gun like graviton, a gun almost everyone can get, takes the fun away.

I don’t like seeing posts like this because I don’t want to cry nerf, but realistically graviton needs to be buried. It functioned fine prior to buffs, it deserved explosion power, but some naive Bungie employee thought it would be good to lend it a faster TTK than 90% of precision weapons. Only combating forces exist in CQC and in Redrix’s Claymore - which rightfully should be overpowered. I use graviton occasionally, I love using other weapons. I am tired of hearing the argument that things feel or don’t feel exotic because it’s entirely subjective and a stupid way to gauge power. Exotics are functionally legendaries with a few extra perks that normally wouldn’t be available. Healing, okay. Element changing, okay. Tracking grenades, questionable. In GL’s case, both explosions and no falloff are awesome perks.... no other pulse rifle in the game can kill as quickly as its two-round burst. It’s ridiculous, wouldn’t mind if a nerf was made.

2 RepliesLmao I agree it’s on the high end of guns but it shouldn’t be nerfed other exotics should be buffed, then all exotics can be on the same level of competitive play the graviton needs to be better than a legendary, but I should be able to go into a game and use any exotic gun and compete, for the people that argue that I need to get good or play better. I’m not gonna argue I can definatly play better, but if I just equip the gun then I am on top of the leaderboard, when my skill level is mediocre at best. So if that’s the case don’t you all remember D1 with the handcannon meta? I remember it was worse than this but this is still a problem when I go into a match I should not see a bunch of random people in random matchmaking using the exact same setup, its sad to see it all repeating cause I love this game, but there isn’t really a perfect solution and I understand that, if they need this then that is op, and it just repeats so I think in my opinion that they should just tap the meek hammer not slam it into non existence like they did with thorn and last word.

4 RepliesTo the assholes in the comments who are saying get good and “just crying nerf because he can’t beat it,” piss off. Nothing else competes. It’s the pinnacle weapon. It’s irritating to die to. It didn’t need to be buffed to the extent that is was. It does better than all pulse rifles and scout rifles. Make it a scout if it basically shoots one bullet. I’m tired of dying to horseshit across the map “pulse rifles” that I used prior to balancing changes and enjoyed. Now it’s OP and dumb. No skill gap, just whoever shoots first.
