Could the Infinite Forest be used to bring back D1 raids?
If the Infinite Forest can be used to simulate any eventuality then could it be used as a mechanism to bring the original D1 raids into Destiny 2? It fits into the lore as to what the Infinite Forest is capable of and it would give D2 players who never experienced the D1 raids a wealth of new content. Whats more as most of the development is already done they could also be added for free, to all players as a 'good will' gift to fans for all the missteps Bungie has made with the D2 launch. What do people think?

Good idea, but new content is a better idea... as I see some of my favorite games remastered like MW2 i can’t help but think about 10 years from now seeing Destiny remastered.

1 ReplyBring back all the old raids, with all the armor sets along with their ornaments, all the raid weapons, as well as all the ghosts and ships. I bet loads of people will come back no doubt. Those raids never got old.

It could used for literally anything. Hopefully a path to an alternate timeline where Bungie isn't incompetent, and they don't design their game around PvP cancer, and effectively kill the franchise.

Nice idea, but you might as well buy D1. Very in expensive. Besides most diehards have gone back to playing it anyways.

We saw Osiris in some kind of simulation of the Vault of Glass. And we have succeeded in traveling across times. So maybe either have the ability to travel across time on other planets or have very similar raids based on Nessus and Mercury. As for King’s Fall, maybe replace it with another cool raid against the Hive on titan. Let us dive deeper into the abandoned planet. There’s so much they can do there.

2 RepliesI liked the old raids, but really I'd rather see new raids with the more simplified mechanics that we used to see. Relic/Sword holder had its own flaws (namely most of the pressure fell on one person) but it also opened the door for pulling people through that weren't the greatest raiders. This every single person needs to stay alive for both the revive timer and the mechanics themselves takes away from what I felt were the best raid moments. Finishing the confluxes with 3 guys barely, clutch sword hits, losing a couple of guys on Atheon and being that guy on the outside keeping the door open by yourself, etc. But if the old raids are the only way we'll get that, I'm all for it.

The Infinite Forrest is part of a paid DLC, so putting old raids in for everybody for free wouldn't make sense as the non DLC wouldn't be able to get to the Forrest.

D1 raids should not be demeaned in anyway. Been involved in the piece of crap called D2, would do that.
