I dont want destiny to die
With all the people claiming this game is dead and the number reports coming in, it is hard to see them come back from this.
New games have taken away so many people and more great games will be releasing this year.
I love destiny, but I'm in a constant state of fear that something I loved will disappear into a memory of what not to do in the game industry.
I pray for this games success.

3 RepliesI don't think anyone did. It's a very sad situation but be under no illusions...Destiny is already Dead. With no Sandbox changes coming until March it's over. Look, the reality of all the salt on here is because these are players that loved D1 and say the potential D2 had to build on that and for Bungie to make a truly epic game. Unfortunately, they failed us so badly, they have at best pulled the wool over our eyes (at worst, straight up lied to us) on several occasions now pre and post launch. I don't believe they can come back from this but I hope I am wrong.

Bring back strike playlists Bring back the old strikes,nexus,taniks etc Bring back poe archon forge and court of oryx Add variety,mix it up and guys might return.

3 RepliesThe game isn't dying nor is it dead. Its just simply laying on the ground and needing help up. Its reach for a hand and its getting one of the next few months. Sept/Oct will be telling times when the first big expansion comes and we will see how good the game really can be then. Just like TTK did to D1. All is fine try not to worry so much till then a ton of good games to play along with D2 :)

I wanted to see so much success. For all the "we're listening" we got a game that wasn't even remotely close to all the good feedback that was left on these forums. This is why I hold little remorse when I drill Bungie now. Cause what more could I have done? I gave as much feedback as all the rest who loved the universe that was created...and what did Bungie do with all that feedback? Where did all of it go? One ear and out the other? Why does this community seem to care more about this universe than Bungie does? That is the real kicker. Why is it we have had to fight off waves of Bungie's stupid decisions? Congrats Bungie, you made a sequel with as many as your stupid decisions as you could, some how thinking it was going to be great. Those of us fighting you in the D1 days trying to stop you from implementing these stupid decisions back then are sitting here tapping our collective foot thinking, "We tried to warn you. We tried to steer you in the right direction. Oh so only now do you see your egregious mistakes because the money is not flowing in and the casuals have left you? Now, what? You see fit to crawl back to us and ask for forgiveness?" So I ask, why now? Why does our voice have any weight in your meetings now? What is this magical change of heart? Why not then? Why should we come back to you now after throwing all our feedback to the wind? Your casuals have left you, your money has stopped gushing in, your fan base has withered, your trust has been decimated...you might as well be left with nothing. Now let's see from this ruin if you can actually rebuild correctly. To recall what made Bungie, Bungie. Not a studio seeking fame, not a studio seeking eSports-dom, not a studio out for nothing but money. A simple studio hellbent on taking over the world with a fun game, fun characters, and fun activities.

😞 Destiny 2’s not gonna die, most of the playerbase will eventually come back when there is new content to play( for better and for worse, most of us that visit the Bungie forums and Destiny sub-reddit are Destiny addicts ). However, you are going to have to come to terms with the fact that there are other ( high quality ) games out there that are more deserving of the average player’s spare time. You ( and I, and everyone else ) are not a slave to Destiny, you are allowed to play other games. Heck, maybe some extended time away from D2 will help everyone gain some perspective and objectivity on what exactly D2 is, what it gets right and what it gets wrong. I enjoyed the 3+ years I spent with Destiny and Destiny 2 but I’m extremely grateful that I’ve had an opportunity to play other games in the last 2 months and clear a bit of my gaming backlog.

Don’t believe all the negative hype .Budgie are in repairing stage at the moment with all the updates coming up ,it will be great again ,it’s only a good game right now and I still play and many others .Just remember too this D2 was just the cash cow since they already speaking about D3 which will most likely release next year when you guessed the next gen consoles come out .Since PS4 is almost at an end in Sony’s cycle .So only obvious next gen consoles will be out next sometime or even the year after but according to Budgie there has been talks about D3 already and D2 is not even complete yet .Like I said just don’t believe the hype and play the game you want to .If you like playing D2 then stick with it like lots of gamers still do .Including me ,issues are being sorted out and D2 will never go back to D1 must just accept the change for now .Cheers and enjoy what you want

I played for several hours yesterday and noticed a few level 2's 3's one guy level 14 New guy's or veteran players who have just created a new character ? Dead ? No,but not in a very Healthy state.

It would be almost impossible to follow up Destiny the time scale they have alone was impossible The Colony sums D2 up who passed the design of it wants shooting with it looks so boring it give no idea that it shoots spider rockets. Not like D1 The Thorn,Ghorn,Icebreaker

It’s not gonna die. I’m a lover of that game too and I haven’t played D2 since DLC came out. They started to do something. Yes it will recover but it will take a lot of time ( I guess 1 year) because development schedule of game was too short and activision pushed bungie a lot for early launch. Current situation of game is not profitable for company and not enjoyable for us and bungie finally realized that. If they fail, that means Bungie will die also with it. Waiting is only thing that we can do about it. I hope they will fix and save the game. If they launch game in 2019 or 18 instead of 2017, that would be awesome and mostly completed game. Greediness of activision and some idiot people on top of bungie fcked up this beautiful game.

They have all reacted very favourable to the changes Bungie is making. See things need to change, and sure I wish all these things and more we in D2 already, but things are looking much brighter. Just keep giving feedback and be respectful and D2 will OK.

It will be fine after a year or so. D1 was pretty bad for most of its life, it had booms for expansions and such but didn’t really feel complete till its last 6 months or so, and still much content was left behind with no reason to do it. The thing is that I’m not sure D2 will have the convenience of having no real direct competition, with games such as Anthem, The Division and whatever else is coming down the pipe maybe even the Respawn Star Wars project, who knows.. If D2 dies it’s undoing will be Bungies slow development ideology leaving a game empty for years before it feels completed.

Who knows........ A lot of people, including myself, don’t like the direction and choices which Bungie have made with this sequel. For many what ever they do it won’t be enough. I’ll still hope but I’ll never buy any destiny content on release.
