78% of original player base is gone. D2 dead?
I didn't play in about 2 weeks. No point. Most others agree. So is destiny dead(or very soon to)?

We're TRENDING! Hopefully bungie hears from us. I thinks most people are disappointed but only because we want to love the game, which right now SUCKS! . Hopefully things change quick! Gives us content.. Not tower hockey - _-

There is still people playing Titanfall 2 (below 5k) the game is not dead nor will it ever die. It will just be less "mainstream" maybe it's time for another game to take the spotlight for a while (Anthem maybe?)

These "-blam!- Destiny 2, this game is dead" posts sure bring me back to the days of Destiny Y1. In other words, folks sure sound like Chicken Little.

The game doesn’t suck, but the end-game lacks depth and something significant to compel replay-ability. I can understand a desire to make the game more accessible to people with lives and jobs who can’t grind 8 hours a day, but I think in doing that they’ve gone too far the other way in making it a bit too casual, which has alienated the folks who stuck with this game from Day 1... casuals are great for business, but don’t forget about the folks who’s passion and support for Destiny carried the game for 3 years. I believe Bungie are aware of this and will be beavering away hard trying to rectify as many of the end-game issues as they can to try and rebalance the experience. So far, some of the announcements they have made in terms of future content, seasons, and changes to IB for example are very positive... and the datamined info raises hopes for the future of the game too. I’m a fan of the game and I want it to succeed, I can only imagine that the creative people behind the game want that far more than I do and they’re going to do the best they can to that end

25 RepliesDestiny 2 is not dead. It'a a content drought. Destiny has ALWAYS had these. Early December will shoot the numbers right back up. Stop making a mountain out of a molehill. Player numbers dipping is not new or unexpected.

Have been playing D1 since release, All the hardcore players in my old clan played RELIGIOUSLY on a daily basis. Not seen 1 of them logging in in over 4 wks

Even thou loot rains from the sky it's all generic and bland. Nothing stands out as special and worth the grind like it was in D1. Power level is just a event lockout, it makes no difference if the game difficulty as the game scales to your level. I just don't see the appeal in creating a game that is so generic that will basically not hurt anyone's feelings because everything is basically the same, it just looks a little different. For a loot based game that is not the way to go if you want people to stick around.

To be honest, it just sounds like typical whiny gamers. Same as Titanfall, got everything they moaned about and still made CoD bestseller. Gamers as a group are becoming a whinging pack of babies, more than ever.

I don’t base decisions on what game to play, movie to watch, or beer to drink what other people tell me. For all I know you work for another game writer. I make my decisions on what I have fun doing or whatever is working for me. Your opinions about destiny and if it’s dead or not don’t matter to people that are having fun playing the game. I doubt many people at all follow you around anyways. You should probably go on YouTube and stream about how dead destiny is just like all the streamers do. You most likely get all of your marching orders from them. After the first dlc comes out and Bungie makes another fist full of money you will be back here again pasting this same post back up again. It’s already a pattern that went on all through destiny 1. We will also see you back posting your idiot opinions ever time a new video game launches too.

5 RepliesYeah I'm at 300 Power Level. Haven't finished the Raid... from the videos I've watched I have no desire to do so. Most likely going to stop playing within the month, I'm only hopping on to help with Nightfalls now. So disappointed Bungie. Kingsfall was some of the most fun I've ever had on my PS4 with friends, AND totally re-playable even without the loot factor. Leviathan is one big fat borefest, with a who gives a f*ck boss that I have no emotional attachment to or any desire to defeat. Not to mention its not even really him. Tokens are absolute shit that just takes away any excitement or joy from doing the Raids or Events. I mean fine if you want to incorporate them as an additional way to get Engrams but keep the drops. Who asked for this be added?! I really enjoyed the improvement to playable areas in D2, but honestly I could give up all the Lost Sectors if it meant giving us 3-4 more strikes. Strikes were such a good way to play a few quick PVE games, and get some strike specific gear. I think I've played less than 10 strikes in D2. PVP is just a huge clusterf*ck. Removal of weapon rolls causing everyone to use the same gun combos. I have no clue why anyone would remove play mode choice from a menu. Why shove people into game modes they don't WANT TO PLAY OR LIKE. Competitive is a joke, I've played that list less than 10 times and only in order to finish the milestone. At this point I'm just ranting so I'll shut my stupid pie hole.
