78% of original player base is gone. D2 dead?
I didn't play in about 2 weeks. No point. Most others agree. So is destiny dead(or very soon to)?

We're TRENDING! Hopefully bungie hears from us. I thinks most people are disappointed but only because we want to love the game, which right now SUCKS! . Hopefully things change quick! Gives us content.. Not tower hockey - _-

1 ReplyBump.... No fun. Grind is only fun when there are rewards. As ya power up you don’t get the “I’’m starting to feel God-like” anymore. It’s just a perpetual rehash to make cash. I was born at night. Not last night. I’m done. Too bad blizzard isn’t making their new mmo for the PS4 or Xbox. I’d be down for that. RedDeadR2 and Odyssey are fun for now.

2 RepliesI loved destiny 1 put in thousands of hours and I'm pretty much already done with the 2nd. There are several things wrong with destiny 2 but the main issue is the difficulty it's way to easy and the grind is gone. If they wanna fix it all they have to do is implement the same core difficulty of the first and make it so you have to earn everything. But if you have beaten the game and already have all the exotics it's too late. So I guess the only way to truly fix it is to do an inventory reset and make people start over but with the difficulty and grinding of destiny 1. Obviously doing so would anger people but it would make the game awesome again. And they should also make all exotics have a quest line so you can't just get all of them by luck. And finally remove the damn eververse!! It's nothing but a money grab. We already paid for the game and countless dlc packs now they want more money it's just greedy. And honestly greed is what turned this game into garage. Adding the eververse and making the game super easy so casual gamers can play. They may have gained a few new players but was it worth losing all the hardcore fans I think not. Hopefully bungie gets it together and fixes these issues otherwise destiny is doomed. Which is sad because this was one of my favorite games of all time :(

It is truly said to say but at this point the game is well on its way to being dead. Bungie and Activision have no one else to blame but themselves for the mess that is Destiny 2. Instead of trying to improve off of Destiny, a game that had increasingly became better over time, they destroyed all of their progress in order to hook casuals with a generic shooter with little to none MMO aspects. The put all of their "effort" into the generic story, which is quite ironic because i though the grimoire cards were a hundred times more interesting than D2 campaign, and gave a bare-bones endgame that had less to do than The Dark Below, the smallest expansion in the entirety of Destiny. People keep proposing ways in which the game can be made better, or at the very least bearable to play. In my opinion, they really cannot alter that much because the core of the game is not fun and boring. If the core game play from the get go was awful and boring, there is little you can do to improve it. D1 may have had its flaws, but i had a blast playing it. I'll never regret raiding the Vault of Glass for the first time of beating Skolas' Revenge. They were truly iconic moments for me in D1, moments I have yet to experience in D2. To make matters worse, Bungie believes that blatantly lying to us and offering empty false promises will make things better. As many people have stated, it is making things worse for them. At this point i believe the franchise may be coming to an end, an outcome I am not happy about at all. We can only tell if the game is truly dead if the next two dlcs bomb. If this game dies, hopefully Anthem will be able to fill the void. Hopefully EA can learn from its mistakes with Battlefront 2 and look at Bungie and Activision and learn from their mistakes. Only time will tell...

1 ReplyI just uninstalled destiny 2 tired of the reskinned armor weapons ships I’m tired of everything being the same I miss destiny 1 where we had so much to grind for the taken shotgun best treads upon stars the exotics that were so hard but fun to find blues dropping purples purples dropping exotics I miss OLD RUSSIA the new worlds are crap boring too small no scenic skylines to sit and watch it feels like we had a really nice car it broke for a while and then it got fixed and ran great now it’s wrecked and it feels like it will never run again sorry bungee but ur game was 2017s biggest fail worse in my opinion than cod infinite warfare

Totaly down ,since i heard 2 Bungie Legends dropped off the projekt one fired the other one was in a law suite to protect his pwn work ... i really see that the core projekt should be focused again by massivley stuffchange thats not the projekt that i schould be ...and sry but the dawning killed it ...no sparrowrace, no stardust to by something and the xp changes ..sry a hit in the face of your called legends ... bungie itself claimed years ago that they pro player less profit ...and know i see your intentions ...you beating the money out of the last players there are .

It’s true every word dude I was so pumped and the way they were advertising it I thought it would be amazing and I bought the 100 dollar one and excuse my language but I -blam!-in hate with the new expansion I paid for it before the game came out no raid horrible story and almost nothing changed destiny 2 is trash no it’s worse destiny will always be the better out of the two even with out trials or iron banner and I don’t know what they are gonna do but they better change a lot and do it fast really fast because I’m about to uninstall 2 and put 1 back in or they should shut down the 2 servers and remake the game make it more like 1 make snipers useable balance guns make guns have random perks better raid weapons like I can just keep going and going and I hate what they did I really do I really do hopefully they will start listening and fix the damm game or I want a refund

The rpg itself is beyond easy and literally who releases a -blam!-ing rpg with only 1 raid and like 4 strikes? It's so boring you can maybe play it for 2 weeks and get entertainment but after that it's just repeated strikes, the same raid and same re skinned weapons from the previous game. Just a shitty rpg that makes people think they're good at mmo's lmao. I'm not saying this because I hate destiny or anything but it pisses me off how people think this is actually a "good" mmo. Everything I said was facts. Also why would I want to play an mmo that only adds 1 raid every 6 months lol while others put updates every month, with tons of raids, dungeons, gear and quests for free. Hopefully when monster hunter world releases for consoles it will save all of you from this false mmo rpg reality bungie has created! If you read all of this and are now pissed because you are a Destiny fanboy that doesn't understand anything then just -blam!- off but if you actually read and understood then your welcome to respond.

6 RepliesThere is no reason to hit max light level because trials and IB don’t account for light anymore. There is no reason to do the prestige raid because the gear is the exact same as normal. There is no reason to create a third class because it’s just the same old shit. There is no reason to grind for certain guns because my gun will always be the same as your gun which takes away my playstyle. There is no reason why Destiny 2 should be this bad of a game when Destiny left off being such a great game.

This sounds like a Hearst article the only thing missing is a old timey narrator voice over. No the game won't die, not even the Division died and that game preformed worse then D2 when it launched and everyone was bragging that it would kill Destiny.

I still logon several times throughout the week. Mostly when people message me to help with a raid or NF or to check what xur is offering. I think with the changes to bright engrams (seasons) and not having the ability to collect things in the game I've lost the only reason left to play the game. Bright engrams take too long to earn and I'm not spending money to earn the only stuff there is to earn. Drop rates / RNG is as bad as it was in D1. Normally I try to collect almost everything. Play the game to earn new weapons to try out. Find dead ghost etc. Play the PVP to earn kewl new weapons. But all of those reasons are gone daddy gone. The only thing I have left to do is to build some decent armor. I have a ton of mods, but can't seem to get anything decent to put on my armor. If you are missing something like a common pair of legs it can take weeks to get them. I had a 3 weeks where I got absolutely nothing I was looking for 2 of my characters. D2 feels much more like a grind. Don't get me wrong, There is a lot of things that I like about the game. I really think a little tweaking could go a long way. Sometime it's better if people quit playing the game, because that is the only way bongo will listen.
