Anyone else already bored?
I find myself loging on and just staying in orbit thinking of something to do. Idk why I definitely wasnt this bored so fast in the beginning of D1. The only thing that as keeping me entertained was the raid, it was extremely hard for me tbh, I probably went through at least 100 fireteams. When i finally beat calus i felt a sense of accomplishment then a huge sense of disappointment, i didnt get anything. I honestly dont feel like ever doing the raid again, i can just easily hit 305 by just doing the weekly milestones. I fee like the exotics are not as good as the d1 exotics, I remember wanting yo grind just to get my hands on a hawkmoon, ghorn, ice breaker, last word but with D2 i dont have that same drive. Maybe it's because i have most of the exotics idk. I definitely love the game and im sure well get more content.
Honestly, i wish they didnt take out lmgs i never see anyone using smgs except sometimes in pvp. I loved the thunderlord and corrective measure sigh*. I also hate how they brought back some bad exotics from d1 to d2 like lucky raspberry or whatever its called. If your gonna bring back exotics from d1 bring back the helm of saint 14, heart of praxic fire, hawkmoon, icebreaker, red death etc. its super disappointing to get an exotic thats not only from the last game but also wasnt really liked by the community.
Anyone know if they have fixed the legend of acrius token bug?

The lack of meaningful grind and activities has killed it for almost everyone I know. My best friend on Destiny and I both said that this week will probably be our last week playing for a while. Neither one of us is into fancy outfits or shiny weapons that go with our suits. That's about all that is coming for the foreseeable future. Not sure what Bungie was thinking, but maybe this is what they prefer. Quickplay and leave.

The Original introduced a new universe. We knew nothing of it, we knew nothing of "metas", the Raid was something that FPS players had never really messed with before, and the Crucible was a fresh and exciting form of PvP that no game had quite done yet. The Sequel feels that it's getting staler, faster, because we are already familiar with the Universe. We're familiar with raids and raid mechanics, as well as familiar with Crucible and how Destiny plays overall. Edit: It also makes it more stale, quicker, because of the fact that every article of gear is "Locked" with their perk loadouts. There's just nothing to grind for.

6 RepliesI get bored too so I play strikes to f*** around with the other two random players. Especially on three strikes I go on. The Exodus Crash strike where I always use the pikes and it saves me ammo of course and hog all the kills with it. People tend to shoot at me and ruin my fun. The Savathun's Song strike where I somehow figured out how to bring the Sparrow onto the catwalk by propping the nose of the sparrow up on a box/cone near strike start. Then using the same technique to bring it to the upper level by boosting up to it and boosting into the tight hole (giggity) into the New Pacific Arcology area. Kept trying to go thru the whole strike on a sparrow but the random players either keep shooting at me for being useless by driving around doing nothing, skip forward and let the enemies destroy my sparrow, hoping that would kill me or that they strike rush to the end and teleporting me to the strike boss. I just wanna try and bring the sparrow to the end. And wanted them to do the killing. Always ruining my fun and boredom xD And on the Inverted Spire strike where I also figured out how to bring a Fallen Pike thru the Vex man cannons and towards the drill platform where I cannot proceed due to the Cabal man cannon can't launch the pikes to the platform ;c people would shoot at me again and try and take my pike if I got off of it too. Dx

6 RepliesIt takes less than a day to finish the story/reach level 20. By the time you reach level 20 you are already gonna be around 200 light level, when the cap is only 305. I will log on tuesdays to do the raid and nightfall (although I don't know why tbh) But that's about it. And this isn't even a "rushing through content" thing. Bungie should really run some experience simulators to estimate how long their content is gonna last and adjust it so. But I guess I can't expect much cause when I watched them play stuff in destiny1 they took 20 min just looking at a small room.

I have so many tokens and gunsmith materials to use but i've seen almost everything already. I just want more fun gameplay. Finding new ways to make builds would be fun, but thats near impossible with the current perk setup.

4 RepliesI honestly have more fun bullshitting on the forums than I do playing Destiny. Assassins Creed: Origins comes out soon and I'm super stoked for the Ancient Egyptian theme. That should get me through till the first Destiny DLC.

Log in to do milestones. Get loot. Log out. That’s endgame. Baked-in perks killed the grind. Killed replay ability into the -blam!-ing dirt

I don't think the issue is the game more than it's probably you. If you've played this so much that you've got most of the exotics already and are 305 on all 3 toons then I'm really not surprised you're bored with it already.

i realised that yesterday.. was mad that in europe the maintenance started just after work until 11pm.. then i finally logged in, didn't know what to do, found a team for getting stomped 3 matches in trials and turned off lol..

Ye, bored as f*k - im waiting from reset to reset to achive some powerful engrams. Im not lucky with public events exotic engrams so already stickin to my pathetic light level.

5 RepliesMaybe Bungie overestimated the appeal of the social aspect of the game. Maybe they figured it was okay to remove the grind since people would still want to hang with friends. If so, that's a serious miscalculation.

I'll admit-last few days I've found that I've logged in n just spent a few hrs chasing events for a couple of exotics I want-I find the strikes a lil too long n far too few of them-plus I can do about 10 events in the same time as a strike, which gives me higher chance of exotic drops. Lost sectors are pointless now n they messed that up anyway. I got excited with the thought of searching all the planets for these "lost" areas, bit of discovery. But no-pretty much all on my map. Bit of pvp-but get irritated by not being able to pick the game modes I enjoy. I do not enjoy supremacy. N mida mida mida-yawn. I've had 2 separate attempts of raid-blind run at launch and another from mid CP but yet to complete. I aim for a full fresh run this week. I dunno. I was always down to run strikes for a few hrs in D1 n I liked the fact that pvp wasn't so restrictive n i had actually a chance to take 2 ppl on n not have to depend too much on ensuring we ran in a pack. Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong? But yes, I'm feeling quite bored of D2 already.

Same here. I play after work, when the family have gone to bed, but even playing that amount of time by Thursday night I am struggling to find things to do apart from the raid, and to me that is not a raid and not fun. I loved raiding in D1 and had nearly 700 completions. I would go into a new raid with great anticipation and mostly not be disappointed, i would keep going until it was done. but this one is just drab! Didn't finish it and I couldnt care less. Bungie have made some good steps in this game but also made a lot of really bad ones. I will continue to play and hope the first DLC can bring some fixes and new ideas, I really hope they do, it will be a massive opertunity missed if they don't.

Its the lack of horizontal progress man. We progress vertically from 0 to 305. But then...were done. Theres nothing relevant to work towards once we cap out. I dunno if will ever change. I love the game, but im starting to get the feeling it isnt designed for the type of player i am anymore. I need the grind!

2 RepliesWell in D1 we were geinding the same strikes over and over for small upgrades in Light. If you're comparing D2 tk the end of D1, well just remember how long they spent creating that experience. D2 just hasnt had that chance yet.

Definitely isn't a long term game I was bored after the first week and the raid haha I've beat it once and see no reason to stress myself with such a thing again, the whole fact one mistake from anyone can mean a wipe makes it boring and definitely not fun

Edited by Bar232: 9/26/2017 6:50:48 AMThis is something my friends and i are also experiencing. Not even hit 305 but you can only do milestones, nightfall and raid to get higher stuff. Sometimes you get exotics that get you higher from chests. But their drop is very low and 100 public events a day isn't exactly fun. We are beta D1 players but it seems like Bungie got rid of a lot of good things. Datto on Youtube got it absolutely right in his vid on his thoughts about end game activities of D2. It's sad because i really love Destiny but i'm already considering playing other games. I know in D1 it was so addicting i couldn't get away from it for months. Destiny has changed... and not positively.

I agree it was suppose to be a mmofps at very best but it just seems more of a dlc... And it is a mmo but without the grind? So just makes it bland and after you gotten and beaten everything at least once you'll be at max light... And before people go you weren't suppose to play it like there's no tomorrow but it's a game that should had a grind factor or rank system for being a mmo anyways so people getting to max cap and all that and then getting bored isn't our fault it's the games for putting a cap of how much you can play before you're waiting for the next dlc... It should take a whole week or so to get that perfect roll on that armor or weapon and ect not everything be the same regardless and that why people are bored that's why I'm bored

Tbh if I had fun people to pau Crucible with like I did in D1, it'd be a lot better. The quality of friends on my list now is much lower, with pretty much no one I know IRL.

1 ReplyI'll tell you why you are bored so quickly, lets be honest cause it feels like the exact same game as D1, with dumbed down enemies, i mean these are the same enemies but dumber. I too sit in orbit nd just stare at the planets/moons. And ask myself wtf should I do? I put over 2500 hours into D1 im burnt out from D2 in about 120hours already...
