I miss destiny 1
Destiny 2 just feels so hollow. Nothing to do, boring raid, bland planets. I'm really finding myself going back to D1. I think I'm not alone in this either, no content really has context. Such a shame

I try to hop on and play by myself. I find myself playing other games if no one is on. Only fun part of the game is the raid.

Honestly, all I wanted was a good story and fun exploration in patrol. I got both of those things so I'm good.

D2 is just a very elaborate way of making people play d1. Essentially just the fifth expansion. Mwahaha

3 RepliesEverybody comparing the complete D1 to vanilla d2 needs to -blam!- off. One is s game spanning 3 years w 4 dlc drops, and the other just came out. Plus, vanilla d2 has way more content then vanilla destiny had at launch

Just to echo give it time. For people saying they have had time... while you are right if they released everything all at once and didn't trickle events out through the first month or 2 or add changes the first month or 2 then you would have already blown through all of that content too and still be asking for more content or changes. If you There is a lot to do in game. Much more than D1 Y1 or even post Taken King. After beating the main mission it all just doesn't necessarily level you right up with higher gear after a certain point and honestly it shouldn't. The game shouldn't only be about that. Take adventures for example. Some of these actually play like legit story and campaign missions from D1 in length and also context giving in the encounter. Also I have had an exotic drop from completing one.

You should know by now how this game works. Everything is drip fed. D2 was never going to be different. They delivered what they promised, however the nature of this game type is that content tends to run dry quite quickly. Imo it's too easy. No part of the story had me stuck or going back for multiple try's. Think I only died a handful of times. They desperately need a difficulty setting from the start on all activities and set the loot accordingly

Actually, I have gone back to Destiny 1 now and again just to play some games that Destiny 2 lacks, particularly in the Crucible. I’m also waiting for the return of the Festival of the Lost on Destiny 1, just to see if it actually does come back.

3 RepliesI remember wanting to get done with work early so I could rush home and play D1, I don’t have that same desire for D2. Sad. Maybe it’s our fault for expecting so much from a game. We thought they would improve on D1 we expected to much. Our fault.

I understand your points and I miss d1 too. I do love d2 so far but it is missing those key elements. I wouldnt give up on it yet though. We still got 2 more dlcs around the corner and we shall see where the journey takes us. I hope things will be added to give end game more flair and give overall more replayability. I hope so at least but I def miss the the chase of god rolls and I def miss d1 pvp cuz I really hate the pvp in d2. Its just very uninteresting and extremely frustrating to play who can team shot better especially as a solo que. Im just an average player who wants to have fun and makes those big plays I used to make from time to time.
