3 less main story missions than d1
According to game rant. 3 less story missions than d1. Guessing we will finish the story in 3 hours.

2 RepliesHalo had half the missions of D1. Youll be hard pressed to find someone who believes D1 was better for having twice the missions at 1/4 the length.

Really think about D1 Vanilla.... it is obvious from all the info and leaks that there will be way more to do in D2 Vanilla.

Also the leaked guide said there are 29 "adventures" and 4 "world adventures". From what I've seen these adventures look very similar to most of the main story quests in D1. They don't have cut scenes but they are fully voiced and span multiple areas and according to the leaked guide can take "an hour or two to complete". Then there is the world quests which involve "multiple sub-missions" within the main quest. So it looks like we won't be running out of stuff to do any time soon. Edit: source if anyone wants it. 3 RepliesOkay so let's get this out of the way. Destiny had 8 Main missions. Those we're the missions with the bigger star and everything and took us more than 5 minutes to pass. The rest of the 16 missions that we had in destiny is what is being called in destiny 2 as Adventures, which we have 29. Also destiny's story took about 5-6 hours not 4-5 if u don't count all the other stuff u had to do to unlock it and even be enough level to not get 1 shotted and make a mission last +15min.

If D2 actually contains a story with good narrative progression unlike the stitched together crap we got with D1 then I don't care what length it is. So long as the game isn't going to be based on endless repetition for it's longevity and allows for exploration it might get me to buy it. Quality over quantity would my preference.
