Too much grenades and supers in pvp, nerf it!
*D2 has slower cooldowns and less abilities..
Charge rate of abilities too slow, pump it the f up!
People never use their primary, only Icebreaker, no land and wormwood!
*D2 focused the game on more primairy gun gameplay...
I'm getting teamshot all the time by primairy guns, not fair, fix it!
People using supers are too hard to kill!
*D2 has less armor when using super...
I'm getting killed too fast using my super, give us more armor while using it!
Shotguns and snipers are OP and are used too much!
*First they change special ammo economy and in D2 they are power weapons...
I never get power ammo, give me back my easy OHK and fix it!
These are just a few examples of 'requests' coming from the community and Bungie tried to listen to them. But in a way, they can never ever satisfy this community. This beta is supposed to give Bungie constructive criticism and we are not giving them that because we are too busy cracking the game by telling them our personal preferences and our dislikes. People seem not willing to adept to these changes and just want the things that they like and not what could be the best for the whole game.
We have barely seen anything from D2, we aren't using the perks that will be available in D2 when it releases. Perks that upgrade our abilities such as faster cooldowns for our abilities. We are only using a fraction of the weapons and have no clue how the new weapons will feel and be like. Same thing with exotics, we don't know how they will be and benefit our Guardian.
So please, calm the f down and wait for the full release before you start to whine. It's like saying your job is too hard for you before even starting with it or you start to cry before the big bully even hits you. Let's just enjoy what we have and adept your playstyle instead of letting Bungie cater to your playstyle.
Just my 2 cents, peace out!
TLDR; Wait untill the full game is out before whining about the beta.
Edit: Some people say these are opinions and that is right, this is also an opinion. I would love to see a smooth D2 just like everybody else does, we can reach that with constructive criticism. I agree pvp changes affect pve too much for now, but maybe that can still change with the release. I also agree on splitting the 2 components and that changes do not always should affect pve and pvp. Pvp in my opinion is better now and pve needs some upgrades. Faster cooldowns and possibly more heavy drops. Hope this clears up some of my thoughts.
Edit 2: With the community, I mean the people who are always on a negative side of things and don't look further for solutions. The majority who has a positive vibe, are mostly the ones who don't express their opinions. That is why there is a lot of negativity on the forums and that sometimes bothers me. Hope this bring some understanding to my, little bit, harsh post.
Edit 3: Just came across a video of My name is Byf about pve. Found it interesting enough to share with you guys: https://youtu.be/Sy1kTzEusLM
Edit 4: Would love to reply to every single 1 of you, but don't have the time to do that. What I would like to see is a more positive forum to discuss the downsides of the game and that we can look to how make this game better. I have a feeling the downsides are pointed out to much with this game without looking at good alternatives. I love hoe pvp is now and would like to see slight changes in pve to make it more fun...not easier to play, it still hast to be a challenge to complete stuff!

3 RepliesEdited by Knight: 7/23/2017 3:46:31 PMCharge rate for melees and supers should be in between Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. I think the reason why people say that the primary usage is boring is because 90% of games you can only use primaries. Power ammo is a joke and can only be used by 1 person.

*applause* this! so much this!

People who arent happy with something will always make themselves heard. The people happy with stuff are the ones who are less likely to do so. I honestly couldnt care whats done with the crucible, I'll still play and enjoy it. What I really dont like is that things done to balance the crucible are effecting pve. I hate not having my shotty to deal with majors because I have another power weapon equiped (like a rocket launcher or something that really feels powerful and worth the rare ammo), or the fact that I'll only have 2-3 supers per strike, or the fact that my grenade seems to take an hour to recharge. Obviously I'll wait for the full game to properly share my views, as in the beta we only have a small amount of weapons (and I'm surea few of them are of tue worse archtypes with worse perks then I'll find in the main game), as well as armour having bonuses and the fact that the beta build is outdated so damage and all that other stuff could easily have been changed, but some people dont share my patience or rational views :P

Truth.

This community is trash.

2 Replies"Beta isn't out, wait for that to complain." >Beta is out, people come out like clockwork to give opinions. "Launch version isn't out, wait for that to complain." >OP is pretty much feeding into the very thing about the Community they're pointing out.
-
Didn't read the whole post because it's one sided. The people you speak off are the crucibabies. PvE players didn't ask for these changes and it kind of ruins D2 on the PvE side.
-
tl;dr is not a -blam!-ing nutshell you moron

16 RepliesEdited by TruthHurts: 7/22/2017 11:49:19 PMFanboys were telling people to keep their feedback to themselves until they played it after the reveal. Now everyone's played the sad beta and now they're telling people to keep their feedback/opinions to themselves until the full game launches. When the sequel to the first disappointment launches and is still trash, will you tell people to wait until the first patch? Then the first dlc? Etc? Lol.

Edited by Mini: 7/23/2017 10:11:58 AMNo, there have been different opinions expressed on D2. You've also just melded PvE and PvP together here where some opinions had one or the other in mind, context is being ignored. Some complaints are related too, reduced ability /super availability complaint and then complaint when they're available they're not so super- should be one or the other, reduced availability OR reduced effectiveness, not both.

What the "Community" is saying why does Bungie not listen. The Consensus on Destiny 1 was PVE and PVP can NOT have the same Balance ! If Bungie now even tells us that this is such an old Build it just enforces that this is also NOT a Beta but a Demo if this where a Beta Bungie would use a recent build to get useful Feedback. Feedback on an old Build is pretty much useless
-
The actual Destiny community in a nutshell-"Separate PvE and PvP." "Make the new game completely built around PvP balance, and ruin both game modes with a dumbass 2 primary weapon loadout?" "Ok."-Bungie

I have never heard more Trustworthy words.

2 RepliesI played the beta. Jumping sucks and no 6v6 PvP option sucks. I don't remember anyone asking for those. Could they change? Maybe, but until it happens those suck. That's my opinion and I'll give it at my discretion. Your's may be different.
-
Exactly, just play the game and have fun.
-
2 RepliesI've decided that every crucible crybaby is a former sticky nade/blink/matador/universal remote potato that now has to aim a gun. I think the changes made crucible fun again, which I never thought I'd say. But one thing I have yet to see anyone mention is that this is a very controlled environment. We'll see if this balance continues after the full game releases with all its guns/gear/perks etc
-
5 RepliesI am just tired of all the whining, change up your playstyle. Its that easy
-
90% of the people complaining will be playing day 1
-
I hope the beta is completely different to the actual game. that will really get the whiners going
-
Word vomit
-
My only complaint is the beta isnt free multiplayer. Its a BETA theres literally NO reason to lock players out of content you WANT them to try out.
-
In a nutshell you nailed it
-
Plain and simple stop junping to conclusions and wait til you have the actual game in hands, and not an unfinished portion that's a beta. We've been so spoiled with our tier 12 melee and grenades and cooldown perks that we forget that it'll take roughly the same amount of time to get your abilities back. -blam!-in chill.
-
1 ReplyWhilst it was right to increase cooldowns, in typical bungie fashion they increased it by too much. And team shooting is t because of the special weapon change but because of the slow TTK which nobody in the community asked for
-
I know why they've tried to slow it down, and I understand why they've slowed it down. BUT! They've gone overboard. Somewhere between D1 PvP and D2 PvP is a great PvP.
