Recently immersed myself back into the site and man has it changed. Anyone have anything to fill me in on how things are?

Aside from some functional changes to the site and seeing different names attached to the same kinds of posts, there is nothing different. If you want to, you can get right back into the swing of things and right away you'll feel like you never left.

There was a much nicer woman who made positive posts asking after everyone. Eventually she left, claiming everyone was mean to her. There was a flat Earth theorist making daily posts explaining why science was propaganda and all our beliefs were wrong because of this fact. He stopped those posts and resorted to terrible jokes when he claimed everyone was mean to him. Also, he has a "disciple" who blindly follows everything he does. There was a spam poster who I muted, because the alternative was being mean to him. Now the place is just a pit of political toxicity where everyone is mean to each other. Are you noticing a theme yet? Somewhere within all of that was a guy who claimed his stuffed pony was his girlfriend, a guy who posted constant cartoon nudity and was for some reason worshipped for this, a draconid, and a period of time where everyone posted exclusively negative slurs about the depressed (I started posting at this time, rather than merely reading, to combat such slurs). Oh, and there have been two other periods of controversy - the transgender toilet controversy, and the BLM controversy. Hope this helps!

Bungie also made it where all accounts not linked with Destiny can't post on the forum and that sucked. Other than those two things not much has changed I'd say, but I've been pretty absent for at least a year and a half. Came back for Porch Day and have slowly been getting drawn back in.

I guess technically I am but to be fair I wasn't active on the forums back then because I was able to do everything I needed in Halo without ever having to come on here. Only Destiny forced me to go on here because that's just how their raids work. Now I debate Mad Max to pass the time.
