READ THE DAMN MODIFIERS!!!!!!
Why does nobody read the goddamn modifiers in the Heroic play list? This week has void burn. That means USE VOID WEAPONS. They deal double damage in void burn modifiers.
Don't give me any bullshit like "I play how I want" all you're doing is being a burden to your team by not gearing correctly to do as much damage as possible. I'm sick of being matched with idiots that are too goddamn lazy or too ignorant to equip an optimal loadout.
TL:DR: READ THE GODDAMN MODIFIERS!!!

I always read the modifiers. Then I play however I feel like. Maybe I want more of a challenge. Maybe I have a new gun to try, or to level up. If you're finding the heroic strikes too difficult consider whether you should drop to the regular strikes rather than bitching about your teammates. Sounds like you would have more fun that way...

I have been playing this weeks Heroic's as a Void-walker, Nothing Manacles with a void sniper + Truth, so I understand your frustration. But I also understand why people are saying "I equip highest LL gear" or mentioning Small Arms... As usual, it's basically Bungie's fault, for 2 reasons: 1. Loot & levelling system double RNG means people are going to equip their highest LL gear, or it's a waste of their time, getting sub-level rewards 2. Removing Elemental Primaries makes Solar & Void burns dubious since only Special & Heavy can have these burns, but Special & Heavy ammo is very limited so they add Small Arms to compensate Neither of these were issues in Y1 when the modifiers were designed. Bungie has tinkered too much and left us with this unsatisfactory situation whereby there is a burn adding damage but a penalty also for not using a Primary, and further penalties in rewards if you don't equip your highest LL gear. What a mess!

Maybe you should read the modifiers... There is one called 'Small Arms'... In case you don't know, it gives primaries extra damage

Strikes are boring if we use the same weapons, and it doesn't matter unless that player sucks, and they would probably suck anyways with that certain elemental weapon. It's to have fun not to please the team, do whatever you want while staying alive and remaining on-task.[/spoiler]

Happened a couple weeks. Tried to tell friends that solar burn is necessary. They say "but that makes me lower" I don't care I'm 360 I could carry you guys if I wanted to and I did

I've been using truth, but a solar sniper. Taking down shields is worth it, especially when my big weapon packs a good punch.

I'm like, "how?" He says he dismantled everything. I'm like "you're telling me that you don't automatically just keep 1 of each weapon type in the vault? " He says, "wait void is the yellow glowy one right?" Me, "....................."
