You kids have no idea how easy the Thorn quest is this year...
Seriously. Anyone complaining about the RNG factor of this quest needs to look back into the days of yore when deaths in the crucible counted against the progress and sidearms with ammo on spawn didn't exist.
I just completed the crucible step of this quest in about 9 rounds of supremacy. K/D be damned.
Special thanks to my void god roll Wormwood.
That's all. Now get off my lawn.
Edit: ...and complete. In less than 24 hours. Was running strikes looking for key. Dropped into Abomination Pit, killed ogre...Key Dropped right there...opened chest ...profit.

I remember having to use the word of Crota and a crap matador and it was a struggle...but that doesn't make them kids, honestly I just hate the old school destiny players ragging on the new new comers. There the reason that we can still play this game. Without them bungie wouldn't be making no income for new experiences. I remember yr 1 and it was so inconsistent. Crucible was unbalanced pve had only one good good thing to offer, VOG... So yea stfu about "I'm a yr 1 player so therefore I'm better than all these YEAR 2 players." And don't make people think that the thorn quest was all that bad because we all had to do it... If you were actually good at pvp you shouldn't be complaining about a crucible related quest...

I did it year one with my VoG raid auto rifle post nerf. it was rough. and yeah I know you hunters had it bad. but at least you could co invisible and camp a corner with a void shotgun. My kd never recovered from my year one exotic bounties. I'm still bad now but was way worse back then. I was a .6 when TTK came out and now I'm a .94 a year later. Maybe next year I can be a 1.0+ kd guardian and finally get to talk trash to all the scrubs who cant get positive.

Did the Y1 Quest with the Epilouge/Surpremacy/Zombie which was really easy and I soloed the Strike which was hard if I remember correctly but I've been soloing Nightfalls since week 3

Didn't have a problem doing it on my husbands warlock in year one took 4 and a half games to finish the crucible step

I did mine year one on my titan....by waiting for it to expire and auto complete. I'm onto the skeleton key part now. Year one thorn quest was stupid hard.
