I'm seeing wayyy too many posts calling out the dreaded Shoulder Charge.
"It's OP!"
"Throwing Knife got nerfed so should Shoulder Charge!"
"It rewards you for running!"
It's not OP in the slightest. If you let a Titan come at you full speed when you have a State of the Art, Handy Dandy thing called a Radar you deserved to be knee'd in the face.
There are plenty of counters to Shoulder Charge let's list some:
Primaries
Secondaries
Heavy Weapons
Grenades
Melee
Supers
Teamwork
Agile Movement
Running away
Wow looks like pretty much anything will stop it.
All in all Shoulder Charge is fine. No need to nerf it.

I've been killed by throwing knives during a shoulder charge. In fact, I've been killed by pretty much everything while shoulder charging. I've also killed shoulder chargers with pretty much everything and with every class and subclass. Only crappy players call things unbalanced and whine and cry for nerfs.
-
-
Those whiners already -blam!-ed up the game with the call for all those nerfs
-
1 ReplyShoulder charge use up the melee charge.
-
When ever I see a Titan running at me, I shut off my ps4. That shows them who they're messing with.
-
Everyone spread the word: I am the problem!

9 RepliesI run a gunslinger with low armor, last night I got shoulder charged and lived, the Titan and I just stared at each other in shock, then I proceeded to bury my knife in his skull, it was amazing
-
2 RepliesI'm going to make a montage of players killing me doing SC to show how easy it is to kill someone doing it. It really not that hard to tell if someone Is going to hit you
-
Yeah lol the most times I will die to a shoulder charge is when I poorly analyze a situation and figure "fuck this titan, I can kill that!" and I whiff my shotgun blast and get tackled. If I see a titan sprinting at me, I know that he either has a super or is trying to shoulder charge. If you're in a tight area and a titan finds you, you're likely boned unless you're quick.

1 ReplyNice you know how to press the RB button, free kill!

1 ReplyThe ram laughs at shoulder charge

3 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 6/20/2016 11:37:19 PMGonna take a guess at it right now.
Strikers As promised, we kept an eye on Titans after the previous patch. Strikers, while not out performing other classes, are still creating frustrating encounters. Most of these encounters are from the ability Shoulder Charge, so we're taking some steps to make it less frustrating to deal with if you're not running a Shotgun. This will allow for more counterplay opportunities before a Titan lodges his knee into your face. Mobility Titans have always had an advantage in the mobility department, while being able to simultaneously have a high armor stat through a technique called Titan Skating. While we're not going to remove this technique completely, we are going to reduce its effectiveness in helping you close the gap. if you've used Warlocks often, you know of Glide and its Focused Burst ability. We're bringing Increased Control more in-line with its mobility advantages. Catapault should be your go-to movement ability for closing the gap. These changes will be universal across all Titan Subclasses. ○ Increased Control now incurs a -1 Agility penalty ○ Increased Control airborne speed reduced Shoulder Charge Shoulder Charge is the bane of many player's experiences. While it's not necessarily overpowered, it's causing mass frustration to those not using close-quarters weapons. These changes should help those who prefer to use long-range weapons have a fighting chance when a Titan is flying in on them. ○ Shoulder Charge now incurs a -1 Agility penalty ○ Shoulder Charge's effective duration reduced ○ Shoulder Charge now requires more time to charge back up after usage, but now charges back up quicker if you don't use it ○ Shoulder Charge's tracking range reduced to 4m on ground, 5m in the air Then something about Lightning Grenades because Bungie has to overnerf always.
Same about fire bolt, how about you just jump straight up so it can't reach you? Or time a shadesstep for hunters. Anyone? Fire bolt got nerfed because people get killed by it alot. I get killed alot by other guardians, they should NERF EVERYONE BUT ME AND MY SUBCLASS! see the problem? Fire bolt never was OP. It was good, not op. Incendiary grenade can do the same or even kill you. The thing is, incendiary doesn't get nerfed because no one complains about it. Incendiary is way better then fire bolt! The only reason fire bolt got nerfed is because it's literally the super from sunsingers! Fusion nades are OK but fire bolt are the best grenade's for sunsingers! If sunsingers threw incendiary grenades! That would be op. Not the fire bolt Same with shoulder charge, it's just a good ability. No need to nerf. Just learn to counter.
I main hunter
About primaries....
-
I almost never get killed by shoulder charge. It's fine where it is. I'm looking out for you Titans even though you guys(Hunters too) cried about Firebolt with ToF and VF.
-
Hey let's not get frisky now, spare change couldn't stop anything.
-
….I love you. lbs You forgot shotguns, bump tho

Edited by sagacious Sol: 6/21/2016 4:52:53 AMJust use a shotgun? My party crasher literally shits on titans before they get a chance to shoulder charge ..

Bud this is exactly what happened with storm caller and sun singer. The cry baby need is inevitable.

1 ReplyAs someone who deleted my titan after maybe an hour or two of playing, i have always hated shoulder charge. So annoying to run around a corner and BAM. Flying knee KO. But now that I have leveled up my Titan and tried to use it in the crucible - it really isn't all that great. Spent an entire match just trying to run people down with my shoulder charge and I didn't actually get to very many of them before i got shot down with a fusion rifle or shotgun. It might seem OP because everyone uses titans, so you see it happen often, but it's really not that special when you're trying to use it. However, throwing knife should not have been nerfed. Was a great counter to a flying titan.

7 RepliesEdited by Moxxis Playtoy: 6/20/2016 7:43:25 PMShoulder charge definitely doesn't need to be nerf. It does what it suppose to. I mean if you think they are OP now should've been there when just the whiff of the air left by the charge killed you most of the time and not the actual shoulder (or knee). The shoulder charge is rather more direct now. I've been killed numerous time mid charge. It's find where it is. (I main hunter.)

Sad story: >be me, a Titan >sees Warlock with Telesto >warlock shoots Telesto >warlock misses >run at him >warlock just learned how to Telesto.jpg >died as I shoulder charged >sees body go flying >cries

1 ReplyWe are not the problem, you are

5 RepliesI only play hunter, and from my point of view, i think Titans move too fast for how often they can SC. The OP said that everything counters it, which just isn't true. Yes, any tactic can potentially stop a SC in its tracks, and yes, the radar does make it harder for people to use the SC. However, I find it hard to believe that there is nothing wrong with the SC because it's easily spammed and incredibly mobile. A one shot kill shouldn't be so fast and common.

Edited by Stinky Steve: 6/21/2016 1:53:38 AMLess then happy people are the problem ._.
potato
1 Replythorn was not the problem, you were. blink+Shotty was not the problem, you were. just don't get shot by thorn. just don't let someone blink close to you. dumb logic.
