I'm seeing wayyy too many posts calling out the dreaded Shoulder Charge.
"It's OP!"
"Throwing Knife got nerfed so should Shoulder Charge!"
"It rewards you for running!"
It's not OP in the slightest. If you let a Titan come at you full speed when you have a State of the Art, Handy Dandy thing called a Radar you deserved to be knee'd in the face.
There are plenty of counters to Shoulder Charge let's list some:
Primaries
Secondaries
Heavy Weapons
Grenades
Melee
Supers
Teamwork
Agile Movement
Running away
Wow looks like pretty much anything will stop it.
All in all Shoulder Charge is fine. No need to nerf it.

I saw the title of the post and thought so true there are 2 many hunter squeakers that get killed by shoulder charge then whine about on the forums
-
I enjoy shotgunning Titans mid shoulder charge! It does get annoying sometimes, but just learn to adapt!
-
2 Repliesit would be fine if titans didn't run into walls to get it and then just use shoulder charge
-
Nerf Titans to the ground

1 ReplyIt just shows the cyclic nature of forum complainers! It does not matter what it is there will just be something. It's the nature of things in the forums! I'm waiting to hear nerf ghosts they give an unfair advantage to material collection!!

I agree, SC is perfectly fine. I will also argue that Tripmines were never a problem. Max armor prevented them from killing you already, they give off a blinking red light, and there is no aim-assist on the throw so sticking others was never easy compared to other grenades. But because Bungie is dumb, they nerfed RIPmines, and they'll probably nerf SC too, because, again, they are dumb.

If you nerf a bunch of stuff something that wasn't nerfed will need to be nerfed to bring it to the level of the nerfed items - Wurffel's Law of Infinite Foam Weapons Eventually it will take 10 minutes to kill an opponent in the crucible. It takes that long to suffocate from being tickled mercilessly

I don't mind getting shoulder charged. Every time I do it or someone nails me with it. I always think about the Office Linebacker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wpis9SY4EYw

1 ReplyRadar. If a shoulder charge kills me it is my fault for not checking radar and a good play by the Titan.
-
Use your shotgun no problem

Shouler charge can be frustrating....
If I do it early, and stop an inch in front of the other guy.->:(
I love the serious sarcasm XD This is the best post!

2 RepliesIf they nerf SC, they have to nerf the 80ft meele range of stormcallers.

1 ReplyHey that was my line! Seriously hoping the tears stop. They've had close to two years to learn how to counter and adapt to Shoulder Charge. Only now the tears are coming in force proves that this community will whine about anything.

Peregrine Greeeeeaves!

All these people complaining about Shoulder Charge, and yet legitimately everyone I play against can counter it a majority of the time.
Guess SBMM never puts me with the whiners.
1 ReplyWhat about inferno did ya think about that

63 RepliesSo this proves you wrong. Everything you listed as a counter based on the required run up is completely disproven by this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jJWN-Iz34o

1 ReplyEdited by THEjusto0820: 6/21/2016 4:49:05 AMWhat I'm waiting for is bungie to move it to the melee column and put a different perk where it was. Because if they do it, JUST IMAGINE how people think SC is OP. Now imagine a Titan with SC equipped in the melee node WITH juggernaut equipped in the final node. A F#CKIN JUGGERNAUT SHOULDER CHARGING TITAN... So please keep asking it to take a melee charge so it gets moved to the melee column.

I love using a fusion rifle when they charge at you. They get turned into dust as they go through you.

I love it when scrubs try to charge me. That's why I'm a max armor striker with a sidearm. I only need to shoot you once and punch you after i survive your charge. SC ain't op lol

131 RepliesEdited by FrenetiCreature: 6/19/2016 6:58:58 PMI've seen this argument before, "You shouldn't let a titan get that close". And, that is a piss poor argument and I'm embarrassed for anyone that tries to use it. If it was that easy to just "not let a titan get that close", then it'd be that easy to not let anyone "get that close". Trying to say that this is possible is ridiculous. If it was that easy, you'd never die from a melee, sticky grenade, shotgun. It's pure bullsh!t. I see so many strikers just running around the map as fast as they can with a shotgun. If they're not able to get close enough with their shotgun, BOOM! - shoulder charge. If your out in the open and a titan is running at you, yeah fine, you can escape it. But in tight areas, they come around the corner running, they don't aim, they just BOOM! - shoulder charge, it'll hit someone. The whole "You suck for letting a titan get close" argument is just idiotic. You could make the same exact case for any class in the game. You got killed by arcblade? You shouldn't have let them get that close. You do have a radar. You got killed by a warlock melee? You shouldn't have let them get that close. You do have radar. You got killed by a sticky grenade? Oh, well, you let them get close enough to throw it at you. You do have radar. Oh, you were killed with a shotgun. Well, dumb@ss, you let them get too close. You do have radar. Don't try telling me you've never been killed by a shotgun or melee. If you could prove to me that you can go through multiple matches never dying to a melee, shotgun, or shoulder charge. Then your argument would be valid. But, unless you just hard-scope, sniper camp at the back of every match, it's almost impossible to avoid letting anyone get close. So, get off of trying to use this argument, it's moronic.

I've been killed by throwing knives during a shoulder charge. In fact, I've been killed by pretty much everything while shoulder charging. I've also killed shoulder chargers with pretty much everything and with every class and subclass. Only crappy players call things unbalanced and whine and cry for nerfs.
