Wow, How Did Some Of You Make It This Far In Destiny?
I decided to run some strikes this morning before work to level up vanguard just because. No reason really.
2 out of like 6 attempts at completing a strike were successful. The rest were garbage with AFK players, horribly skilled players, etc.
Damn man. Honestly the worst experience in the game I've ever had.

Doing Omnigul a couples days back with some randos. We spawn in, get on our sparrows and one idiot proceeds to lay on his duck horn all the way to the enemies... Sits there blowing his horn while me and the other rando fight the first room. He eventually gets killed while blowing his horn on his sparrow... So I run by and tbag him, obviously not re-spawning him. Other guy spawns him just for him to do it all over again. He dies again, this time he doesn't get rezd back up. Only to send me a message claiming to report me before he left.

Join a clan, run with them, profit. There are some great players out there, but there are a lot more of the bad ones. The law of averages is not in your favor when you match make. But really, even on heroic, most of the strikes are easy enough. Even if two of them can not pull their weight, they will at least draw fire. Leaving you with breathing room, to get the job done. Now, AFK players are total scum bags, plain and simple.

They should have SBMM in strikes because I play with a lot of -blam!-tards, afks (but never afk for the boss spawn), abandoners, I often get stuck with the worst. Even the odd guy that's not even LVL 40 yet haha

7 RepliesIf you're leveling Vanguard, you need to quit strikes. Farming VIP patrols on earth is easier, and faster. No worry about shitty teammates either. Patrol is where it's at.

2 RepliesI always come across at least one player who is AFK. Halfway through the game these players decide to go AFK, and that pisses me off. I wish they had a vote to kick button option..

2 RepliesStrikes are almost non worth doing now to much time wasted with idiots, u think that's bad try a poe41 taken version with idiots I guarante u it will take u 40-60 mins,, I am starting to think destiny is bad game throws new players into the game without explaining to those players what perks do what supers do etc etc,

Was doing taniks by myself. Had one join, stayed a few mins but quit. Then came back and sent a friend request and finished with me. Confused me but oh well. This is why I do patrols now to level vanguard because of this happening more and more.

Its called having friends you never have afk f4ggs in your strikes and at least you can have some fun talks with them about work, school and life. Give it a try make some friends it makes your desteny experiance so much better.

I just love that kid running unupgraded primary and secondary sidearm with a Saint 14 helm on a striker! As good as it can get. The worse one yet is a defender with the grieves Lmfao

Don't play pve problem solved, or play with friends or players u know are at least decent. I mean PvP anit much better but can be enjoyable

The hard raid is great for survival practice. Remember, the traveler resurrected you and gave you the capability to be an unstoppable killing machine for a reason. Put its gift to use. FYI I average 150+ kills per strike, and that's with teammates that participate

8 RepliesI feel ya! One thing that gets me the most is in PoE Level 41 MM. When I hear "Dismantle mines" why do i always find myself the ONLY player running to the mines to dismantle them? What are the other two plonkers doing just shooting enemies? Why cant they first focus on the critical objective and then get back to shooting when its time? ** sigh **

1 ReplyWell...I spent 98% of my time soloing strikes in Y1, because kids would rage quit or be useless to the point where they didn't even exist to me. I got used to it, and I continue to steamroll strikes alone to this day.

Playing with randoms has been terrible since online matchmaking began in gaming. It's nothing new and no different with Destiny. The only solution for ANY game EVER that is online is to get friends. Sure, you might meet a random here and there that isn't god-awful, but the majority of the time that won't be the case. So to answer your question, I have friends.

That's why I hate running strikes alone, I'm fine if I'm with a team or just my brother.. then I have no worries.

It would be cool if they tied in a group concept (think bigger than clans) that you opted into which affected matchmaking on co-operative missions like strikes, raids, or PoE. It would also be a better way for people to find like minded people. Say I opt into a group of people who like getting drunk off their own blood, hanging out in the sun (on a cross), and people who are holey (as in have holes in their body). Matchmaking would then be based on looking through to see if there were any guardians within my groups searching in the same category and matching us up if there were any. If not then standard practice still goes into play.

Edited by AscendantPotato: 6/5/2016 4:30:22 PMIf I get loaded in with a long-term afk or someone I can tell is intentionally just not moving(i.e. you see them look around a little but not moving), I'll just push them forward and use them as a meat shield until they either get the hint or bail. You're going to serve a purpose for me one way or another. :)

Spent like two hours trying to do Poe, if the connection wasn't bad it was the players... Solo most of it just to get disconnected and start over

I was in a strike today where a player was afk and me and the other person left. Why didn't he get kicked after like 7 mins?
