1 ReplyThe Division is chess. Games like Destiny and Call of Duty are checkers. Both games are fun....but tend to appeal to different personalities and ages.

I'm 15 and got a few friends into it. My friend a usual a cod only player. Said it was a new game that he loved.

...that it feels like the only people that are enjoying it seem to be the actual adults.
It is a mature game and isn't a run and gun, maybe that's why? I have plenty of friends under 18 though
-
10 RepliesToo repetitive. And the enemies basically all look the same
-
This post is meaningless and stupid.

6 RepliesI'm 42 and I haven't even bought it yet. Don't know whether to tbh. There are certain things it appears to have in common with Destiny, which in the end, pissed me right off.

This^^

im 14 and have enjoyed myself more in the division over the past 6 days than i have in destiny over the past 18 months...
-
1 ReplyWaiting for it to drop down to $20.

2 RepliesAdults? Have you seen all those angry rants about how Division is the best game ever? Hardly Adult Like.
-
8 RepliesBecause kids want to play fps where you are literally a one man army. Zero tactics and no thinking required. Division requires you to think about cover, when to shoot and using abilities at the best time. Kids don't like this "thinking" and call the game "shit". There are exceptions of course.

I'm 17 and i love it. i can see why a 12 year old wouldn't like it and for someone my age, its either a hit or miss
-
I'm 16 and like it, can't play it consecutively though, can't grasp my attention that long. Still it's a solid rpg and I like it
-
15 and lovin it

I'm 37 and i love it.

4 RepliesSome of the videos echoes/ Intel stuff is pretty sad :/

I've only played a little of the game (about 6 hours) but have matchmade every story mission I could, and from what I've seen is people are on one extreme or another. I play as tactically as you can at a low level, stick to cover, but most of the people I've played with just run around. The first mission at Madison Square Garden, 2 guys were just running around the final part at a third health as I was at full.

4 RepliesIt is pretty fun running into passive players in the dark zone and it is even better when you initiate full RP mode in game chat and they go along with it. I asked a group coming out of a contaminated area if it was safe and what contamination level it was, they said that it was fairly safe and level 4. We wished them luck and they did the same and we were on their way. They were adults/upper teens and were pretty mature

Maybe that's the hidden meaning to it's title, dividing the adult and kid gaming community? They may have had test groups and realized that adults would enjoy it but the kids (which aren't old enough to be buying it anyway) wouldn't really like it. They wanted to make a game that would save us adult players from having to play with annoying children.

7 RepliesYep And the matchmaking in the game works well. Done the daily (( which is harder than Kings fall raid )) with a group of randoms with mic's going tactically from one enemy to the other. We got high-end rewards for doing it ((aka exotics)) Can't wait to do it tomorrow
-
4 RepliesI ended up using matchmaking last night to finish a mission that was vexing me. Really nice group of guys. We had a celebratory jumping jack contest after our completion.
-
2 RepliesI know people keep making the destiny comparison - they're both shared world console shooters/RPGs - but to me, at its heart the division's mechanics seem to owe a greater debt to mass effect rather than destiny
-
Yeah. After they've been beaten down all their lives people will settle for anything. ;)
