Icebreaker = Reported
If you use icebreaker to access special ammo early in trials you are being reported. Yes I'm salty.
Edit: I don't mean using it legitimately. I mean using it and then switching to 1000 yard stare on death so you can snipe without accessing any special ammo crates.
Edit 2: I've been playing since day 1 and have an ice breaker but the way it is being exploited is ridiculous.
Edit 3: reporting on xbox live stops you being matched with the player in the future. I've got better things to do then find players on bungie.net and report them to cosmo.

I tried this in year one trials, was just messing around, done it once and realised how broken it was, you get full ammo from one magazine in the icebreaker, is it fair no, is it broken yes, do I do it no, is it cheating no.

I don't find that reporting people on XBL stops you from getting matched with them. It is supposed to, but I still seem to end up playing with those same people even if I leave Crucible and come back.

I don't do that and I'll admit I think it's a cheesy strategy,but it's still part of the game,it's not game-breaking or hacking,so it shouldn't be a reason to report

Are you report g players that use sidearms? Did you report players for using sniper rifles before the patch? These ridiculous posts need to stop. Do you really think bungie is going to consider this cheating since it's a mechanic they made for the game themselves?

It's unfair that a team could go without special for a whole match because the other team won the first round. I also don't snipe in PVP so I won't even be the thing you're salty about.

Icebreaker or Invective Working as intended otherwise Bungie would've patched this back in yr1, you can report players but I guarantee your reports will fall on deaf ears :3

4 RepliesThen go ahead and report me for using a perfectly good tactic that many people are using. You'll find out very quickly just how little I care. If the mechanics that made it possible were placed into the game by the craters INTENTIONALLY then how the hell is it an exploit eh? Show me proof that's a legitimate exploit of the game mechanics and is cheating. Does it give an advantage? Yes. I'd it useful? Yes. Does it break any of the mechanics that Bungie places in the game? NO. I applaud the person who thought of it because it is clearly an ingenious idea. Not to mention that I've met teams who used only icebreaker. How? They cooperated and did team shots. Next thing we know there's gonna be a forum post about how that's somehow an exploit. Someone gets a kill and someone gets an assist. It's a fps, get over it. But back to my point. Even if they do use the icebreaker to get ammo from the start, that ammo does not last forever and we have to pick up special just like everyone else. Be a big girl and sick it up. Either that or just get shit on by anyone who uses the method, because of your own stupidity and stubbornness to adapt. Now have a good day :)

A huge part of why Destiny is enjoyable is the unique weapon abilities. Keep up the whining and are amory will continue to differ nerf after nerf.... And abilities will become less and less remarkable.
