Icebreaker = Reported
If you use icebreaker to access special ammo early in trials you are being reported. Yes I'm salty.
Edit: I don't mean using it legitimately. I mean using it and then switching to 1000 yard stare on death so you can snipe without accessing any special ammo crates.
Edit 2: I've been playing since day 1 and have an ice breaker but the way it is being exploited is ridiculous.
Edit 3: reporting on xbox live stops you being matched with the player in the future. I've got better things to do then find players on bungie.net and report them to cosmo.

1 ReplyDude. It's called being creative. Switching weapons in Trials is a given. Heavy would be a big deal, special shouldn't change much. Rush them and they won't have time to switch weapons. Sound like you give people too much room to mess around in trials. Keep the pressure on and they can't run this tactic. Just grow a pair and win. I congratulate every single person who generated special ammo, using a gun that generates special ammo, and popped your skull. You are the only person to blame, you gave them the time. It's 6 seconds per round. They shouldn't be able to get 3 rounds and switch by the time you face them and if they are camping that hard there are plenty of solutions to Mercury them. Be more creative. Trip mine grenades, solar grenades or arcbolt grenades (one for each class) under the ghost of a fallen enemy should make it easy to stop the revive.

Go ahead and report, bungie isnt going to do shit about it. They put the gun in the game, they set the rules for keeping ammo when you change weapons while dead. Dont be mad at people who use mechanics to their advantage, be mad at bungie for allowing those mechanics to continue to exist.

You'll only be banned yourself for abusing the reporting system. As infuriating as it is, and as sad as it may be that people need their crutches they are doing nothing wrong. People using a gun in a game about shooting is not against any term of service or rule.

6 RepliesEasy fix. All rounds start with no special ammo. Even if you live. All trials rounds start with zero ammo count on snipers, shotguns, fusions, and sidearms. That way all the teams are always on a level playing field and it promotes primary gunplay. The issue now is that once a team gets the ammo box after winning a round the team who missed out has a hard time coming back. That doesnt equal a level playing field.
