You won't convince anyone that a dead player helps the team more than a living player. I have yet to see a player with a high KD and a terrible W/L, but I have seen plenty of people with bad KD's and terrible W/L ratios.
Edit: It's cute when you guys try to deny and make up some stupid facts that you pulled out of your ass... I'm not saying K/D is everything but when I see a 3.0 or 1.0 in trials, I have way more problems beating a 3.0 player than 5 players with 1.0 KD.
Edit2: you guys say you would rather have a guy with 20 kills and 21 deaths than a guy with 1 kill and 1 dead... Do you understand that a guy with 20 kills and 21 deaths is dragging your team down? It doesn't matter if he got 20 kills when he died 21 times. So for 20 kills he got 2000 points and for 21 deaths he gave up 2100 points... Please think before you talk.
Edit3: b8 gr8 m8 i r8 8/8 ;) it's cute how you guys get worked up on something so pointless like KD is xD
Edit4: if you made it this far... I have something to tell you... This was all just a joke to see how much people care about their KDs ;3 enjoy your day guardian

Pretty sure they mean that KD is not a true test of skill. I played on Xbox 360 in year one. I actually somewhat enjoyed this game. I had almost 2.0s in every gametype. I'm not great, not ass either. Now I play on PS4, and I'm kinda tired of pvp. I hardly play, and when I do it's for rewards, but I'm not exactly trying. I just kinda play. It's not that I'm not good anymore, but that I'm not caring about my stats anymore. I'm simply saying that this can apply to many people with low KDs. Just because you have a low KD doesn't mean you suck, just that you don't care. That being said, a game that I did play competitively in Gears of War 3. The gametype I played most I had a 4.7 KD and a 13.1 WL. I actually cared. In competitive, none of it matters. Really. None of it. Did you go negative? Doesn't matter. Call outs, coordination, teamwork, and support is worth more. Even if you die, you can still help those alive win. But whatever.

Lol sure K/D can be an indication of skill But I look at medal score and DTR as a true indication of what a player is capable of. Pub stomping in Control is much easier than playing sweats all day. Control makes your K/D pretty. Sweats ruin your K/D but make you a better player.

Edited by Windspun: 12/16/2015 2:41:18 AMI have a decent KD (1.64) maybe not "high" in your view but better than most and I have a poopy win loss. Your argument is kinda invalid. Lol but good b8 dude you got guys good

K/D doesn't matter. Teamwork matters ! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
im trying to complete my lame-comments quest-line. How's my driving ?
-
My kd is 1.93 in trials yet I lose loads of games lol If u care about kd u are sad.
-
The team that wins usually has most of its players with a high K/D. Thats all im gonna say. ( i said usually, so dont twist my words up)
-
K/D does matter, as it tracks the overall survival capability. ~ A bad PvP Player

2 Replies"I have a. 7 kd but I can hold my own" every scrub trying to go flawless

1 ReplyIMO, K/D doesn't matter as much as ELO score and/or win percentage. I play Trials regularly with friends, and when we play higher level groups, my K/D is usually shit LOL. But y'know what I find myself doing well? Communication and getting the res. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

I have been flawless yr1 and yr2 and have managed to get a 1.45kd but since I play for fun now it dropped to a 0.85 but I still am good so yah :)

winning is not everything. fun is there. dont care if i have positive KD or not

5 RepliesAgreed only scrubs claim KD doesn't matter

Check my titans last skirmish game muhahahaha

Oh look at all the butthurt scrubs making up more and more excuses. Hint. That is NOT the way to get better.

Not to mention the guy dying 21 times is feeding super energy to the other team.

8 RepliesWhen you become of age, and learn that you can drink and play destiny, you realize that k/d doesn't matter.
-
OP: "I was merely pretending to be retarded."

1 ReplyAll that matters is high grimoire and high KD
-
2 RepliesPut it on your job application then see how much it matters

......I agree....that is all.

5 RepliesJudging by the original post, and the influx of edits, i have drawn only one conclusion about this post and the poster.
OP is one bored, attention hungry fgt
2 RepliesJust curious, I was looking through your most recent trials games because you had and exorbitant amount of kills in that category and a crazy high KD. Something was off though, many of your games say victory yet you only have a score of 4. I was wondering if you could tell me the reasoning for this?
-
If you can go back that far my last 1st place win in rumble with 23 kills I died almost half of each encounter. My KD is .6 I still won; KD doesn't matter.

I was a 290 and I killed a 310 in trials (:
