When is the last time a three of coins actually worked?
I buy as many as possible each week (depending on if he's selling any engrams that week) any not a single one works at all, should Bungie buff them?

1 ReplyA buddy and I did strikes non stop for 5 hours today and only received one exotic between the both of us. Fortunately enough it was me that got it (Thunderlord @310) it'll get sharded

It comes and goes, I try to mix things up when I 3oC farm. I do shield bros, strikes, Poe (final boss), strikes, shield bros. I got a sneaking superstition that if you stick to one activity 3oC works less n less. But I could also be losing my grind . . . . . . .or mind?

2 RepliesI was doing sparrow races last night in a fireteam and 3 of my people got exotics out of it. That's right, apparently 3oC works for the sparrow races so go get your low effort exotics

Dumped 15 of them into strikes last night. Used one on a damn Sparrow Race and got an exotic boot engram......which I cannot ID since it could poof on me just like my other one.....

yea its a real or nothing proposition either im getting one every time i pop one for a week or i can burn up 40 of them before i get one in a week it really seems like after TTK dropped and we first started buying them there was a more consistent algorithm.

I have a 3 of coins active and redeem one while the race ended in a SLR match, that I actuality didn't even place in. I think it was the second time running the Venus track. I kept blowing myself up from hitting walls and things. It gave me an exotic as the match had the race ending count down.

I got 2 engrams and only used 6 coins. Plus i was racing too. So yay me

Used three yesterday and got 1 exotic primary engram on the last. Decoded it and i'm a 307. Got a 290 mida

Got on drop in nightfall today, swapped the exotic arm engram from hunter to warlock and got Nothing Menacles 310.

Last night I popped a coin before several SRL matches. Got 310 Mida and 310 Tarantella. Last weekend killing Taken Champions on Venus netted me a 310 Suros Regime, a Red Death, a 310 Skyburners Annex and a couple other things like Invective and 4th Horseman. They work.

All the time. I've gotten 3 Red Deaths (2 at 310), at least 2 maybe 3 4th Horsemen (again 2 of them being at 310), 2 Hawkmoons at 310, a Bad JuJu at 310, and two Suros Regimes, one being also 310. Quite a few different class items. At least 3 different titan helmets, one of which is the main helmet i use. Still have a set of exotic gauntlets and chest piece for when i want. These are just what I remember and still posses some of but there have been several others that were year 1 or just sucked. Its all in how you use the coins man.

I buy around 20-25 every week and usually get a least one exotic sometimes 2 from them each week. A couple of weeks I got an exotic with each character. A lot of the time it's something I already have though.

3 worked for me back to back to back last week. But before that it was 15 before an exotic dropped for me. RNG happens.

I've used varying stacks as well but cannot see a stack change so I am unsure if it even stacks. It says its stackable but ive used six at once before the end if a nightfall and someone else got an exotic. Earlier today I used one just before the end of a heroic strike boss just to pray to rngeezus and someone else in the team gets an exotic engram. So far I'd say it's just another pointless option, if you have bad luck.
