So I don't play Trials very often but when I do it seems my team(and myself) are constantly getting res sniper.
Does this take skill?!?
I feel this is a pretty cheap strategy and think there could be some effective ways to change it.
1) increase temporary overshield health to leave just a sliver of overall health after a high impact sniper crit
2) revives "move" the downed guardian in any random direction by a couple feet.
3) nerf high impact snipers(not gonna happen)
4) git gud?
Anybody else think a small tweak is in order??
EDIT: I would love feedback or tips!
Also, why does everybody get good stuff from Silver Tier and I only get blue engrams? :( :(
EDIT 2: Send revived guardian to original spawn area....yes this would cause people to camp spawn areas, but I'll take that over current res snipin
EDIT 3: the team that is reviving( two people) get a stronger shield but CAN NOT shoot----> shielded guardian gets to cover and the other team doesn't get wrecked by overshield shotguns
EDIT4: Does the dynamic of res sniping enhance gameplay? Or would the overall trials experience be better without it?
EDIT 5: Damn! Such an uproar for trying to have a discussion. For anyone saying ive "cried nerf" you will notice only one suggestion is for a nerf, and I even acknowledge that it would NEVER happen...
I haven't been negative or condescending towards anyone...just trying to have a discussion

1 ReplyIf you don't know how to push the res player out of the way. Or draw sniper aim assist off the res, DON'T RES YOUR TRAM MATE if there getting hard scoped very simple. Between retarded post like this and nerf post crucible is becoming the biggest joke
-
Idk it would be to easy to make plays if there wasn't a way to kill them.

1 ReplyRes Sniping takes correct timing and aiming. You can't res snipe until you know how to snipe. That happens to me too. I tell my teammates, "Don't get me; he's hardscoping me". I get revived, get res sniped, and they still don't learn. I try to take the body shot or move them from sniper lanes when they snipe so we can still win. Out of your options, their's only about four or five snipers that can res snipe that are in Year 2. If we're talking about the Eirene, Stillpiercer, 1000 Yard Stare, and Black Spindle, then buff the overshield when ressed, but the problem then is they "accidentally" (possibly) buff the overshield for classes that have them (Sunsinger Flame Sheild, Defender Disintegrate, Sunbreaker Cauterized or Fire Keeper), then that would cause more complaints than fix one.

Only fags do that, I can not stand that being allowed.

1 ReplyRez sniping seems easy but can be hard. Just a slight screwup can cause you to miss. Plus there are counters. You can just say don't get me he's hard scoping. Or after you rez slide in front of him to move the reticle.
-
1 ReplyWith max armor on a titan and an overshield the 1000 yard stare can't headshot kill you. Tried to rez snipe a titan and he had a sliver left
-
1 ReplyThey should either have invincibility during revive up until they are able to move so they have a chance to get away but take away the person reviving getting a shield and make them have to be closer to revive. Or they could have everyone have 2 lives and once you deplete them you cannot respawn and you respawn in your begining area. So you get split off from your group for the death but they still know where you will be so you get no real advantage and it would be possible for that area to be spawned camped so protection of that area could add more strategy. Or they could just remove revive and make for quicker games with more strategy due to the risk of perment death for the round. Also remove kill cam or whatever it is that follows the player and just make it a death screen.

Honestly all you have to do is push the damn body after you get the revive! it's legitimately that fxcking simple!
-
2 Repliesyou obvs die a lot if you keep getting res sniped
-
I agree its really cheesey kinda like head glitching , Then you get people that head glitch an do that crap at the same time
-
I hardly ever got rez sniped in trials. If you have teammates that are good on the revive and know the right times to pick you up you shouldn't have to worry.

[/quote] I don't think people should receive an overshield at all personally. I never understood the concept of rewarding the person that died AND the person who revived him. Reviving a teammate that was outplayed should be a very risk/reward situation IMO. To answer your question though, the best way to avoid being res-sniped is to jump in front of the person immediately after they are revived. The high aim assist on snipers will cause their reticule to follow you as you are jumping and allow your teammate a split second to get out of the way. Edit: I see a lot of people suggesting to "push" your teammate but, as someone who primarily sniped, this usually did not affect me because I just had to shift my reticule horizontally. If someone jumps across their teammate, it is much more difficult to recover when the reticule is being dragged both vertically and horizontally.

learn to snipe. Everyone is going to quit this game if the pussies on this forum keep crying nerf, just get better at the game. A shotgun is just as effective off the rez as a sniper.
-
2 RepliesOP: Waaaaah! There I fixed it for you
-
No... If you get picked off and the person sits on your orb then fair game. There are ways to block res sniping anyway if you know how to revive people.
-
Res sniping isn't a big problem, if they can't res snipe you they'd just insta shotgun you instead. Work on using cover better and getting better at resing in general.
-
2 RepliesIt's always the pvp trash that have such stupid suggestions. It's called throwing a grenade at the sniper so he runs away and you can get the rez or just push him into cover. Quit being a little bitch
-
I mean.. Just call out who's watching your body and don't revive til its safe. And if you do go for it throw a grenade / start shooting after the rez.
-
You can push or run past the person you are reviving
-
2 RepliesJust fight the sniper with a sniper and get the revive after. Trying to get a revive off with a sniper scoped in your direction is gonna go wrong most of the time.
-
Some snipers dont even kill with a headshot either
-
Turn around and crouch
-
Slide in front of body and aim assist will move just slightly out of headshot position once revived
-
I say give the revived enough armor to be able to survive a sniper headshot (basically they'll be left one shot but alive) and the reviver gets no armor bonus.
-
3 RepliesNo it's a good mechanic. It makes it so that you can't just revive without caution or a plan and that they can't get an easy advantage on you
