Why is the sunbreaker being nerfed?
I'm a 302 Titan and to be honest.......the sun breaker doesn't need to be nerfed. The sun breaker can still be defeated by
.Long range snipers
.Nova bomb
.Golden gun
.Fist of havoc
.Night stalker
.Sunsinger...well not really unless your really lucky.
.Arc blades
.Grenades
.Stormcaller
To be honest if there was one thing I would nerf it would be the golden gun.
3 shots 1 hit killing any other enemy.
The golden gun lasts for 15-30 seconds.
While they can both kill each over 1 shot why is bungie picking on sun breakers?
Most of the people who are say "Nerf sun breaker" are players who don't have the taken king. WHY ARE YOU GUYS WHINING? You non-taken king players can kill us sun breakers no matter the weapon.
Why is bungie picking on titans? NERFING A SUNBREAKER? Bungie I don't know what idea you guys are coming up with but come on! Nerfing A SUBCLASS? You guys need to stop whining and grow up. Bungie. I honestly really hope you guys re think you guys are gonna do.

Is this true. When did they announce the nerf. I personally think just less hammers is okay. I can live with the extra armour and cauterize is a bit op but I'm okay with being killed by a sun breaker. They aren't invincible so I have killed a few in my time

2 RepliesI don't agree with all of your points but I do feel sunbreaker should be left alone. The reason why so many people want it nerfed is 1) hunters preferred it when they could boss PVP easily (like year 1) 2) PVP try hards (most of which play hunter class in PVP) don't like being killed by a random hammer from a newbie who's KD is 0.01 when they are 1 away from their 10 killstreak!! They need to keep their KD well above 2 don't you know!? 3) PVP try hards like to assign the words "skill" and "competitive" to crucible (even though Destiny is a PVE game) and hammer of sol doesn't fit the remit for this. Any random scrub can get a kill with hammer of Sol! It's just not acceptable people! Think that just about covers it :)

Warlock here. Just had a quick read though. No real reason for Sunbreakers to be nerfed. I play a decent amount of Crucible too.

6 RepliesReduce time in super by 5 seconds, Reduce armor by 5% and max out hammers at 5. Done.

7 RepliesHammer of Sol lasts 28 secs. Golden Gun lasts 15. Hammer of Sol has 4 hammers, can be raised to 7 within the subclass. Golden Gun has 3 shots, can be raised to 4 with an exotic armour. Hammer of Sol has 55% damage reduction. Golden Gun has 0% damage reduction. Hammer of Sol kills people out of Fist of Havok, Nova Bomb, Hammer of Sol, Bladedancer, Golden Gun, Shadow Shot, Stormtrance and Sunsinger in ONE hammer. Golden Gun kills Bladedancer, Stormtrance, Golden Gun and Non Radiant Skin Sunsinger in ONE shot. Hammer of Sol can get an over shield and get healed. Golden Gun can't get an over shield and can't be healed. And yet you still defend it.

It'll still be a great super, but it will be brought down and balanced to compare with other supers. I look at it like this. It's not that it's overpowered, it's that it has a open field in comparison to other abilities when it comes to "room for error." The rest... you -blam!- up a Lil and you die. See the point? Doubtful because you need your crutch. .. I love HoS, but how can I not admit that I feel unstoppable with it. If I die, "that was a good run and decimated their team!" Out of all my deaths, only 1! Made me feel like I used it at the wrong time and did something wrong to lead to a quick end to my susper, besides that I've never died mid super without it being another Hammerdin.

7 RepliesThe only things that actually can stop a hammer Titan every time is nova bomb. And nightstalker but it must be a direct hit. Every thing else you listed isn't a guaranteed kill. Get your facts straight. It's going to be nerfed cause it's obviously too strong. Super lasts about 25 seconds if you didn't know.

Sunbreakers can stay the same if they do this to arc blade. Increase the timer on bladedance. Increase its range. Increase its armor by 5%.
