Attention!!!!! Must read!!! Getting higher light level rewards
In order to kick RNGesus in the nuts all you have to do is one simple thing. Get rid of anything in your inventory that can be infused. Only go in to the raid with the gear and weapons that you want to level up. If you have a 316 sniper and you want a 320, don't have any extra gear on your character in that particular slot. The raid rewards you with items to level up that are currently in your inventory. In order to make that a moot point, drop everything off in your vault. This is my first post ever on this website. If you doubt me, check out my character. I was a 315 as of Tuesday morning and I am now a 317 on Tuesday night.
Edit- Thank you to anyone that has tried it regardless of results.
Edit- You can try this with 3 warlocks or you can try it with one Titan. If you can look at the responses obviously people are having some success. I am assuming the ones that are saying it doesn't work are the ones that haven't tried it. I still have to infuse my gear as well. Because I have three warlocks doesn't change the fact that I got a 320 shell, a 320 sniper, a 319 helmet, 315 boots and a 320 bond.
Edit- Some people understand how infusion works some don't. I still have to infuse whether I have 3 warlocks or not. You don't get drops below 300 in either raid... Obviously there are controls involved. Is it so hard to believe that there might be other controls seen or unseen?????? It's a theory, if you don't wanna try it, don't. I could care less. It was a suggestion. Nothing more nothing less. If I just deleted my other characters I'm guessing more people would have been inclined to try it. Hindsight is 20/20.

If this is anything at all its most likely an [b]increased chance[/b] for a higher light level [b]not a guaranteed[/b] higher light level. I would suggest to anyone who wants to seriously try this theory out: choose your gear, try to be between 280-295. Confirm what you want and do not change it at all. Empty everything into your vault. Then go run 5+ strikes. After each strike empty all engrams and weapons earned. After all the strikes calculate the total LightLevel PER item slot. Then a total average of all items. Then do everything again with a few different items in each category, but do not change these throughout strikes. Make sure you do the same amount of strikes then calculate again and compare. Chances are no on would do this because it's a lot of work, but it would be able to give us an idea if their was a clear difference. Bump if you are going to try or if you agree or think someone else should try.

It wuz random. This is like saying, fill all your item slots to max except the ones you want and then all your engrams will be for that type of item. It was luck and a coincidence. You didn't just discover RNG hacks.

3 RepliesI gave this a shot last night and have mixed results. I had a 316 bond equipped and no other class item on my character. I received a 311 bond from sisters. Then received a 320 chest piece from Oryx (had a 315 equipped). So, I am unclear as to whether or not this really works. Guess I will try next week. I was stiffed by all other bosses for harrowed gear/weapons.

My raid team in hard mode tried it today and they all did great as well..320 boots 316 boots...314 arms..I got a 319 rocket and 316 boots. We ran warpriest and after I got my 319..I told them to try it..they loved it. Now I know they are not all 315+ drops..but the drops were either the same light as equipped or higher.. Try it before you start bashing the OP And it doesn't matter if you are running same characters..the point is higher or equal light lvl drops.

3 RepliesDude assuming you completed the raid 3 times a week then you had 9 chances to get gear for your warlock lol. If I wanted to have 3 of the same character then I would have one at 317 also. I prefer the variety

You're a fool. One experience doesn't make a trend. Your inventory has ZERO to do with your drops. Like Smith confirmed "no smart loot." It's RNG.

11 RepliesI have a guaranteed way to get gear above 320 without grinding the raid. It's simple, wait for the next expansion. Save yourself hours and hours of raiding.

2 RepliesIt doesn't matter if he has three of the same classes or not. He could still take Titan or Hunter gear and infuse it into his warlocks gear. Which is the exact same thing I did when I finally decided that I wanted nothing but Titans. Just recently deleted my Hunter and warlock to make two extra Titans because it's by far my favorite class. And you can go ahead and look at my stats. I'm 316, which would be 317 if I could get a damn hard mode helmet above 310. Maxed grimoire as well. So people have their preferences, no need to judge them because of it ( unless they're being a douche).

Including 317 pulse, 316 ghost, 316 cloak and 319 helmet. Gathered full set of armor and got the shader :P Idk if this actually works though, probably dumb luck.

Also before the champions that you fellow Guardians most certainly are. Having three of the same class isn't an advantage. After you achieve raid minimum gear, i.e 308 you can infuse all excess gear into one main. Stop justifying someone's play style as unfair lol fk boys.
