Players enter though the Front Door to Oryx's room. Oryx is hanging out in back.
Why would we travel through Dreadnaught starting from back and end at the front? The Throne of a castle is always located at the end.. at the back. Oryx emerges at the back of it!
Why do you insist Oryx is front?
-------------------Oryx---------------------
Back Left_________Back Right
-Daughter Left-Daughter Right-
Front Left_________Front Right
-------------Team Enters--------------
Edit- Just as how enemies spawn behind Golgoroth, it is considered the BACK of the room. It is the same idea!

How has this gotten the replies it has....oh I see everyone is flaming this retard

I actually say this all the -blam!-ing time but no one cares,

1 ReplyJust like when you walk into church. The preacher is preaching in the front of the church and where you walk in is the back.

Oryx's PoV looking at us- Front Guardian's PoV looking at Oryx-Front ...lel

The problem with Golgoroth is that he is in the middle of the room, unlike the Oryx and Atheon fights. Front row seats are usually pretty awesome. Front row of a theater. Come to the front of the classroom to give your presentation. Front has nothing to do with where you enter.
-
2 WORDS MOVIE THEATER where is the screen the front. If you want to sit close what do you say to your friend. Let's sit at the front. Why is this so confusing.
-
You are at the FRONT of the Dreadnaught (that's where Oryx spawns). You do NOT walk into the room backwards. Your objective is in FRONT of you. Your teacher calls to you to the FRONT of the classroom. You are called to the FRONT of the church. Also, your Golgoroth example is dumb. Just because Thrall spawn behind Golgoroth doesn't mean that's the back. The Thrall and Golgoroth, just like Oryx, are in FRONT of you. And anything behind you is in the BACK. Sick of this stupid argument.

How is it hard to grasp? You enter the room You see the layout Forget about the fucking door you entered. You are now on steps. Infront of you is the room Oryx spawns in the front of the room. So, you are on the stairs. Now you can determine where front left, front right, back left, and back right are. You are not going to turn around to stare at the door you entered. The door you entered is in the past. Your objective is in front of you. So regardless of where Oryx slams his fist, you now understand where the front of the room is. Left and Right are easy to understand.
Oryx spawns at the front of the ship.

Focal point.

Yup everyone seems to call the part of the room opposite we enter the back until oryx then everyone gets stupid and thinks oryx is the front all of a sudden.

1 ReplyThe dress is BLUE!

Edited by Reap200: 10/24/2015 11:36:27 PMif you look below where we fight oryx after you have killed him you cn see the beginning area of where we rode the ships. he is just above the beginning of the raid. also if we are going off of the diagram that you present:
-------------------Oryx--------------------- Back Left_________Back Right -Daughter Left-Daughter Right- Front Left_________Front Right -------------Team Enters--------------
if the door to the room is front, then you would be looking V not ^, meaning that the diagram would be more like this ---------------------------Oryx-------------------------- Back right__________________Back left -Daughter right-_______-Daughter left- Front right_________________Front left -------------Team Enters looking V-------------- rather than: -------------------Oryx--------------------- Back Left_________Back Right -Daughter Left-Daughter Right- Front Left_________Front Right -------------Team Enters looking ^-------------- this is not counter-clockwise here, it isnt that hard.

Oryx is front, get over it.
-
We fight oryx at the bow (front) of the ship.. We enter at the stern (rear) why are people still arguing about this?
-
How about it's a matter of preference. End of argument
-
But it's a ship not a castle

1 ReplyEdited by Ristar: 10/24/2015 6:52:40 PMEnemies spawning behind Golgoroth are in the back because Golgoroth is the focal point. They are in the back in relation to Golgoroth. Same with the sisters. The sisters are in front of you, as they are the focal point in this encounter, the platforms behind them are considered back left and back right.
-
Front and back are determined by a focal point, being oryx. The front of a movie theater is the screen because it's the main point of focus. Same with a classroom.
-
When you enter a classroom with the board in front of you, and the door behind you, do you consider the door the front of the room? Didn't think so.

3 RepliesThe way my clan and I look at it is as follows. You first enter the room and there are 4 plates in front of you and a deathsinger to your left and right. We then give the plates their names based on their position to the fireteam. So two in front of you, and two behind them. The two nearest the fireteam are "front left" and "front right", the other two on the other side of the deathsingers are "back left" and "back right". At this point we have no knowledge on how the oryx fight will pan out. When oyrx enters the battle, it makes sense to keep this naming and not change it just because the boss spawns on the opposite side of the fireteam. If the oyrx fight was before the deathsingers, I would agree the plates near him are the front. But based on the logic on the fight before hand, the opposite is true. It makes no sense to flip naming for two different fights in the same room.

We entered through the back door. His front door was locked.

While I see your logic there are two issues to consider. For one if you're going to call that back then you have to swap left and right because that doesn't make sense at all to say back left when you're facing it it's really in front of you on the left, so reversing that would mean back right. Second the reason it's called front is because it's in front of oryx and it's literally in front of you when you open the door. The back left is in front as well but who wants to say front 1 left or front 2 left, or even better front front right or front back right? It makes more sense to just call them front and back like what you see and based off of oryx being in the front of the room.
