First off, let me be clear; I loved Titans in year 1, and I still love them now, but this post is directed toward people who try to say that the Hammer of Justice should not be nerfed due to Titans' weak year 1 PvP game.
Just because your supers last year might not have been the best, doesn't mean that this monstrosity of unbalanceness shouldn't be nerfed. Seriously, I'm all for Titans having great supers, and I want all the classes to be viable in both PvP and PvE, but that doesn't mean we can let one super completely rule PvP like Bladedancers did early last year. The supers, in their current state, are unbalanced, and that is a problem regardless of who has the short end or long end of the stick. Thank you for reading.
Oh, and if anyone points out to me that Hunter supers were OP year 1: Yeah, I know, it sucked, and I wanted them to be nerfed when they were OP just as much as I want Sunbreaker to be nerfed now.
Edit: Here's a little clip from a mayhem clash game I played yesterday. This kind of stuff is why Sunbreaker rules the Crucible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncq42nWlQeA

Mayhem is hardly representative of anything.

23 RepliesI'm curious, who thinks wins in a fight: storm trance or hammer of sol?
it's not the warlock
-
But sun breakers are so easy to dodge Maybe because I use a Titan I'm used to the problems a user faces but it is nigh impossible to hit someone who times their jumps correctly

Edited by argo206: 10/31/2015 1:09:49 PMI'm sure they are working on how exactly they will nerf it without making it useless. They just don't wanna say anything and set the forums a blaze before its set in stone. I'm surprised so many people think sunbreakers are OP and not storm caller and the void bow. The voidbow takes a lot of skill to use. I still need to practice some more with shadowshot but in the right hands that super is OP as hell.

4 RepliesEdited by NOBLE 7878: 10/30/2015 2:03:04 AMI completely agree that sunbreaker needs a slight health nerf down to 50% from 55% so it's on par with bladedancer etc. But I notice I get killed far more by stormtrance than sunbreaker because sunbreaker is easily dodged by jumping around them but stormtrance always gets me, any countering suggestions?
-
How is it that everyone says "just run away" from Sunbreaker when titans are the fastest class? Lol.
-
3 RepliesHow was titans year one pvp bad? Fist of havoc is a faster Nova bomb. The charge attack is basically a free shotgun blast, and their grenades are all awesome. Maybe things changed after the first month but I recall gleefully battering people with charge and smashing people with fists.
-
7 RepliesFirst off Is Hammer of Sol Strong?:Yes Is Sunbreaker a good subclass?:no Also The Sunbreaker is the Titans only PvP worthy subclass FoH is a Joke .. ......
-
8 RepliesJust needs armour nerf make it die from one GG shot. Other than that it's fine
-
I see the jump over Titan and shoot idea being thrown around a lot but that isn't an actual solution, plus a competent Titan can just throw an exploding fire hammer of death under where you will land and boom dead.
-
Your opinion that the Sunbreaker is unbalanced is just that. An opinion trying to be passed as fact.
-
2 Replies1. Jump over sunbreaker 2. Shoot sunbreaker 3. Repeat 4. ??? 5. Profit 6. Stop complaining that sunbreaker is OP, because it's not.
-
4 RepliesGive titans a 50% mobility debuff. Titans SHOULD practically be godly tanks in their supers. Tanks shouldn't be able to move that quick though.
-
6 RepliesWrong Hunters still rule the crucible. Everything about their class is suited to PVP. Even with HoS Titans aren't as good.
-
Edited by Mister_Man47: 10/31/2015 9:16:48 AMI think the super needs to be changed drastically , so its a different kind of super . How about this : another buff to armor , but no double jump and no health regen. Then they really would be tanks. I doubt however Bungie would change it that drastically , so they need to either nerf the armor down to normal levels , or remove the health regen . If my team sees a sunbreaker and decides to team shot , if he kills just one of us, the health regen means we are all dead . That wouldn't be a problem if the armor wasn't so high .

Shot a rocket at a Titan in his super last night, didn't even take off half his shield. I wish we could jump on their heads to kill them.
Because they act like Hammer Bros from Super Mario Bros, so that could kill them ._.
-
Quit whining. Get out of crucible cuz everyone knows how to outrun HoS now. Nobody gets killed by it anymore so move tf onZ

4 RepliesFirst, you need to make a distinction between "supers" and class strength. Blade was never the best super, not even close. But it was the best class overall. The opposite is true in HOS case, which is good. Small tweaks to the super and it will be in a good place. Lastly.. Don't try and prove anything about a super in a mayhem clip. That playlist is meant to be unbalanced, for fun. Of course sunbreaker and GG will rule it. (Ranged, multi-kill supers.)
-
Saw no reason why it should be nerfed! What I did see is someone using the biggest op weapon in crucible!
-
3 RepliesAnswer me a legitimate question. Why is it that the only players on this game who cry for nerfs come from the crucible. Lord Shax would be ashamed of you all.
-
Listen..... Shhhhh...... Don't speak.... Do you hear that..... It's the sound of joy and silence in complete synchronization and harmony. Shhh.....

Though I strongly agree. I'm not too worried about it due to trials only being on average 1 super per game maybe 2 if you're really good. Just have to plan against it such as self rez.
-
Sunbreaker super FAR exceeds their neutral game. Don't use mayhem as an example because it gives you skewed data. If you nerf the super then you have to buff the melee range.
