Well? What do you guys think?
Also, one of the characters usernames in the fireteam is Oryx. And the rings of Saturn are shown towards the end of the video as well.

Edit: Video has an age restriction apparently. Nothing I can do about that. It is Bungie's video.

The guy playing with the name Oryx was one of the world builders that started working on Destiny back in 2008, joe Staten or Christopher Barret. I'd bet the latter since that's his Twitter ID. Regardless, they definitely had the hive lore established early.

This has been talked about over and over again. In several different videos from pre-release you can see many different locations that were introduced much later: The Reef, The Dreadnaught, and what looks to be the European Deadzone. There may even be some zones that did not make that footage but are coming as well. I still think Europa is a possibility as well as Charlemagne's Vault. Although it is somewhat disappointing that all of this stuff wasn't in-game at launch... ok I have nothing else to say. I guess Bungie is working on Destiny 2. It might take a bit longer than you imagine to make these worlds, how ever big or small they are.

1 ReplyThe way this guy moves and shoots so slowly is almost infuriating to watch.

So, it showed all the locations we have now. Does that mean that since there were no new locations (planets) in this video that there won't be any more until Destiny 2?

Wow man nice find

The good old days when Destiny looked better than it is in trailers.
-
The thing I took away from it was true fireteam of at least 6 killing the walker and you being able to see where they are.

1 ReplyDoes anyone stop to think that all of this has been in development for years now? Activision gave them a huge budget for 10 years. They wouldn't do that unless bungie had a solid 10 year plan. Seems like common sense to me.

With any game that will/wants to have more content added after initial release things happen like this. With any game being released either in hard copy or digital form, they are "finished" long before release. There has to be time to print box art, stuff boxes, package, and ship. For digital there has to be time to migrate the data to other servers for distribution, and those places have to make the storefront, ensure their own delivery to users and so fourth. While this is happening the bulk of a Dev team is now onto the next thing. Ideas from the main game get cut, or repurposed or what have you into later content. The video could and likely was many initial ideas that were altered for reasons. This isn't a defense of bungie and their final decisions for what content where, but a likely explanation of what may have happened. That is all.

original gameplay footage for destiny right here. shame we never got what was promised to us.

Nothing new here, I mean if you search around you'll find videos of the Reef social space from around this time and we didn't get it until HoW. Saturn has been in the Grimoire since day 1. The 3rd Subclass slot also. Why does this not surprise you?

20 RepliesI still bet we see that cutscene with prince what's his face on earth. I don't think he's dead.

11 RepliesEdited by Romulus: 10/20/2015 12:19:20 PMThis was noticed months ago. Nothing new. Also all of the DLCS were planned to be apart of the original story before Activision came in.

Oryx is mentioned in the last mission on the Moon, depending on what order you do them in. There's no reason for any reaction towards this guy's GT
