Well? What do you guys think?
Also, one of the characters usernames in the fireteam is Oryx. And the rings of Saturn are shown towards the end of the video as well.

Edit: Video has an age restriction apparently. Nothing I can do about that. It is Bungie's video.

12 RepliesI cant help but watch this and say to myself, this is what Destiny truly should have been, should have felt like. going into a patrol should have felt like a mission in itself. the story should have felt much more immersive. its sad watching this, and seeing what could have been
-
4 RepliesLol, did you notice the exotic engram drop that gave him the Thunderlord?
-
12 RepliesTheres a podcast with Luke Smith stating he was working on TTK when vanilla was released. They are ahead with content so they can release it on time and make sure stuff jives with story etc. Absolutely no way they can make a dlc in 3 months time. Im sure they are working on Destiny 2 as well.

Go to 11:20 and watch for when the Ogre slams the ground.
Does this look like the Dreadnaught? Yes. Does it also look like every other piece of Hive architecture in the game? Yes. The logical explanation is that the artists had a concept of what they wanted Hive areas to look like, and have kept that consistent across all the hive areas.
Also, one of the characters usernames in the fireteam is Oryx. And the rings of Saturn are shown towards the end of the video as well.
The name of the Fireteam member being Oryx is probably inconsequential. Oryx has been a part of the lore from the beginning so throwing the name in for the video was either an easter egg or just laziness. Saturn was also part of the lore from the beginning and most likely part of the plan, so having it in there makes sense as well. To think that Bungie does not have a road map for a game of this scope would be naive at best.
Proof. I was literally running the Darkblade strike just now and noticed it...
Not sure what "proof" you think you have. That's a room in the Founts on the way to the Darkblade strike, which is on the Dreadnaught. While color scheme wise it looks similar to the one in the video, it's definitely not the same room. I would again refer to artistic consistency with regard to Hive architecture as being the reason they look the same.

Yep it was part of the first draft of the story. Things got shifted around a lot.

2 RepliesCompanies aren't allowed to think ahead nowadays, concept art is cut content and builds are too This is the saddest excuse for an RPG community to date.
-
3 RepliesEdited by GUNZ vi: 10/20/2015 3:22:50 PMCompanies have a 5 year plan. Bungie probably has a 10 year plan so what, who cares. Throw money at the screen.

This had been discussed so many times in the past. Stop bringing back old topics. Heck even I made posts on this back in the VANILLA days (with the picture of the Hive area and the old DLC plan). That's how outdated your topic is.
-
4 RepliesPetition to make the next dlc the original destiny we all wanted lol. I would pay for that
-
Oryx in the video is @cgbarrett on Twitter. Bungie employee.
-
1 ReplyI know they showed golgoroth somewhere
-
One of the first pieces of concept art we saw, before we really knew anything about the game, was a large derelict ship in the rings of Saturn.

5 Replieswhats really gonna set people off is when we have to go find the queens brother in the cosmodrome , his new hangout spot after barely surviving the oryx blast the explosions will be heard all the way out in space :)

20 RepliesEdited by Kio: 10/20/2015 3:06:41 PMBungie has only released 12% of the DLC so far for TTK, I bet the scene where you see Crow is going to be a new story mission, because he survives the super weapon, then he comes to talk to us. Edit: the 12% is a thought estimate from data miners, hard mode will add another 12%ish~

1 ReplyUgh, I try not to remember stuff like this anymore, it pisses me off too much, nothings gonna change. Remember the video with "You see those mountains over there" I was unbelievably excited about the direction new gen games were headed.

Like if you cri every time.

I would like to play that game. Lol

1 Reply99.999999999999% chance you are correct. I wouldn't be surprised if everything has been made already, they just won't release it until they are contractually allowed to.

I want that radar back :(

Deej will be along to explain everything soon. He's community manager. ;)

The guy playing with the name Oryx was one of the world builders that started working on Destiny back in 2008, joe Staten or Christopher Barret. I'd bet the latter since that's his Twitter ID. Regardless, they definitely had the hive lore established early.
