Well? What do you guys think?
Also, one of the characters usernames in the fireteam is Oryx. And the rings of Saturn are shown towards the end of the video as well.

Edit: Video has an age restriction apparently. Nothing I can do about that. It is Bungie's video.

1 ReplyYup you're stating nothing new :/ and Kotaku the other day confirmed it all.

26 RepliesI have been summoned... You must learn to let go my child
-
5 RepliesI think it's more important clip at about 11:40 when our character is talking to the queens brother inside the cosmodrome

1 ReplyWhat's the video called?
-
3 RepliesI'm going to assume you weren't around in the forums much during Year 1, because this video was tossed around at least three or four times, with forum threads exactly like this, where everyone starts whining about Joe Staten this, Activision that, missing/cut content. The game is great.

Edited by WestKing: 10/21/2015 7:59:14 PMLet's wait for a current gen only Destiny title to see how it really plays out. I can understand some of the cuts because of having to provide a similar experience to last gen consumers with 360 still using DVDs and what not but destiny 2 will be only on this gen and then we can see what Bungee can possibly do. Yes I have read how they cut a lot of shit back in summer 2013 because of the story and money.

When you're over 17 and the age restriction still activates... LOGIC

Age restriction?!??
-
Why the age restriction??

Millions fell for this evil scheme, sadly.

55 RepliesI remember this. I remember all they promised us. All the amazing things this game had in store for us. The wonder. The exploration. The adventure. That's all gone now. Gone, and sadly forgotten. We'll still get the majority of what was shown in that video, but it comes at a cost. 20$ here. 40$ there. A series of microtransactions to supposedly "fund" free dlc in the future that should've been included in the game from the beginning. It's sad, a company with such a huge legacy behind it, sold out in a matter of seconds to an even bigger company that only looks at us gamers and sees dollar signs. Ah, but I digress. Nothings going to change, unfortunately. This game will never embody the true vision that bungie had for it. It will forever be a constant and perpetual grind for gear and fighting on the forums. There will never be peace, just more costly dlc and complaints being yelled into the void of space.

3 RepliesTurns out that it was due to artistic differences between Bungie's writing team and the senior development team. http://kotaku.com/the-messy-true-story-behind-the-making-of-destiny-1737556731 I'd personally like to play through the original story to see for myself.

Yeah and the hunters name in the beginning is oryx-bng.. Who cares.
-
5 RepliesYeah, it was all cut... Joe had the better plan, Bungie had other ideas involving DLC and money... Pathetic.

I thought these dumb ass threads were dead? Stfu already

7 RepliesEdited by RPColten: 10/20/2015 10:32:38 PMLuke Smith (in a podcast with Planet Destiny crew, podcast #38) talked about the creation and idealization of the Vault of Glass and The King's Fall raid, including the 'hidden' design process and inspiration that came to. The long drawn-out process of structuring, filling out, even naming, takes time. The conversation included talking about House of Wolves and the 'lack of raid' and how there was never really going to be a raid. The team had finished Crota's End then Luke Smith jumped to designing King's Fall, which is an awesome raid by the way (he was the creative lead for Vault of Glass and "The Taken King/King's Fall. Not sure if he lead Crota's End.). People got hyped up over data-mined information that wasn't really information but just dust from placeholders, as always. The point is, content takes time to build and envision. Why can't the design team be allowed to start work on a location/instance years in advance? Does that qualify as cut-content when it's not even 'content' in the eyes of the developer? The term "cut-content" gets thrown around like fecal matter, expecting everyone who hears it to face the stink. Developers gotta' have something at some point. Just when it qualifies as "content" isn't up for the blissfully ignorant consumer to determine. Podcast link for listeners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB4l75akRQs

Man everytime I watch that trailer, I wish the game could have been that good.. if only the story could have made as much sense as that trailer. Even though TTK story is better, because of how awful the overall plot was, it still pales in comparison to a game with a real coherent story....

"Kill your darlings." I can highly recommend the wonderful book The Art of Destiny. It gives you look at a lot of things that either are in the game, were altered, or cut completely. The Tower used to be part of the Traveler back when the Traveler was a giant spaceship for example. The above artwork is described as: An early Hive ship design. The book came out last year (it even has a Music of the Spheres section of the credits) and it will be interesting to see what else from it makes it into the game in the future.

Looks like a kells ship
-
Its nothing uncommon that teams responsible for area design and texturing work months and even years in advance.

No way!
