The problem is when you have one person that can't read and is playing with the controller up his ass yet still somehow manages to pick up the sword first. Thankfully its pretty hard to navigate to CoO when you're trying to steer with your rectum.

ran the No Time To Explain yesterday, actually had someone who never played the VoG, it was wierd but cool at the same time. showed them the ropes still killed Atheon anyway.

No one else I played CoO with could take the Fanatic down with one sword. Really wasnt that difficult.

I did it Monday and the group that was there had no idea what to do. I grabbed the sword and stood at the bottom of the stairs until the sword was gone because they were using primaries to down him. Ended up losing and I tried again with the same result. But on the second sword someone ran up there with their raze light and downed him and kept swinging like we has doing damage only because I had the sword on the other side hitting him. They caught on after that and quickly beat him.

We had that happen, a random picked up the sword and didn't know what to do with it. We punched him afterwards and he got the hint and let us take it.

Edited by jlobue10: 10/20/2015 4:41:40 PMSo true. This hasn't happened to me this week, but the last time the Tier 3 boss was the Crota disciple, I had to face palm as a nub used the sword to kill regular enemies, and not damage the boss as I made him kneel. SMDH.

5 RepliesThat's the only raid I've done, tried vog a couple of times, but I found that one to be more challenging than Crota. Yes, sad I know, I've never finished vog. But oh well. Life goes on.

The struggle is real with that. We wasted an hour last night dealing with randoms that had no clue what they were doing. They insisted on taking the sword and trying to down him with just that. We eventually sat in the court watching them fail constantly until they quit.

We struggled with some randoms last night but ended up running it 4 times for everyone. The part that makes this difficult is the communication.

yeah, I know what you mean. kinda want to take some of these people through CE just because... Had my own experience yesterday w/antiquated rune. ran through some 1&2-tier bosses with randos and thought "hey, they're holding their own. let's pop an antiquated". Ended with them clearing mobs while I run the sword and take down Thalnok's shield. No salt, just legitimately baffling

Precisely. I get a Fireteam of 3 and go there to wait for Randoms. We had two join us eventually and I swear neither of them knew anything. They never focused on adds, rushed Thalnok, grabbed sword and did nothing but kill adds, etc. Eventually my friend gave up and rushed the sword. By that time, Thalnoks shields would Insta-regen so we gave up.
