Tell us about some of the best hate mail you've gotten!
I've gotten hate mail in PvE and PvP, for reasons like "Your voice is monotone and you sound like a depressed robot" to "Just let me kill you with my hammers please." It never gets old. No such thing as bad hate mail. I've even gotten death threats! I'll share one I just got a few hours ago. WARNING: lots of paragraphs
Some sunbreaker who managed to miss three of his hammers at shotgun range (who I end up meleeing to death) messages me telling me he hopes that everyone I ever love comes to realize how much they hate me. I asked him why he's so upset, and he started accusing me of cheating. I told him to have a good day, then he dropped the best thing I've ever read from any human being ever.

I just kept sending him messages like "chin up sport :)" and dumb crap like that. Invited him to the party.
He sounded like a 20 something year old guy trying to overcompensate for something with a nasally voice. Sounded like Squilliam Tentacles, but with health issues. He kept trying to say something like "Shut up I'm reporting you," or something, but I couldn't understand him too well.
The salt was overflowing, his friends even joined the party to back him up, and soon I had 4 different people threatening to find my IP address. I couldn't stop laughing at them, they were making my day. They got upset, and told me to burn in hell after I finished laughing at them. I thanked them for all the laughs, and kicked them.

Good times. I wish I got hate mail more often, it usually only seems to come during IB or ToO. Puts me in a good mood.

Edit 3: got our first sad mail. A moment of silence for the guardian that left Destiny because he couldn't get a kill.
Edit 4: so many good ones. Good to see we can laugh it off and dust off the salt.

Killed a sunbreaker titan (in super) with silence of a'arn twice and he t-bagged me whole game after that and sent me hate mail (can't remember what it said).

5 RepliesSo I was level 39 at the beginning of a crucible game, with enough bounties to get to 40. Right when it started, I leveled up (which charges your super). Then I ran to B and got a 5 man fist of havoc kill in the first 20 seconds. Got a lot of hate after that.

A week or so ago I got a match against this guy in control. He killed me first and teabagged. Respawned and returned the favor. Got a message halfway through: learn how to play. Told my team to teabag this guy on every kill only to hear that he had left. Replied: yeah, I'll just run away from people and rage quit matches. I'll be the best crucible player around. Guy: maybe if you stop holding hands with your teammates. Replied again: you can hold deez nuts! Blocked him after that. As fun as it is, I don't like to keep those going for too long. Not too big of a troll.

1 ReplyThe only time I've hate mailed was when a guy trolled me on the exotic sword quest The sunless cells. He asked me what sword I had of course so I was like "this guy knows what's up". After 20-30 mins of fighting we got to the DarkBlade and he immediately destroyed my Knight, left, and sent me a message saying "suck it". I screamed horrible things and I'm actually surprised I didn't get banned in any way.

I tell people who teabag and end up going some god awful score that they're terrible. That's it. I've gotten some from just doing well, not even teabagging or showing disrespect.

In year one the amount of times there was an invincible blade dancer and one shot golden guns. Hammer of sol is nowhere near as op as Hunter subclasses. Also tracking on shadowshot

2 RepliesOne time in skirmish myself and another guy on the opposite team were carrying our respective teams and it was an intense 1v1 basically the whole match. Me being a striker and him being a bladedancer, his blink shotgun ended up getting the best of me and they squeaked out the win but I was not salty in the slightest so after our match ended I sent him a simple "GG" which I thought everyone who plays online games would know means good game. But he took it the complete wrong way and blew up on me and proceeded to send me message after message saying get good skrub. This idiot thought I was telling him to use golden gun and not bladedancer... And that was my first glimpse of the epidemic which is squeaking hunters. Titan master class!!!

1 ReplyGot called a cheater in a rumble match back before 2.0. Was using hawkmoon and got a reign of terror right from the beginning of the match. Got messaged by some kid in the game saying "stop cheating you noob, get reported." This was hilarious because the kid was using thorn and felwinters, and I was using hawkmoon and a sniper. My reply was "sorry to be better than you at this game".
