Enough master class BS. Enough "this is OP, this needs this," etc. Let's drop crucible for a minute, and think raids. Think missions. Think strikes. I'm a hunter, and what do I want on my team? I want a warlock, and I want a titan. I want to be doing my thing, and knowing that if I'm in trouble that my titan can throw up a ward of dawn and shelter me, or hail hammers forward and annhialate, or penguin flop the living SH*T out of everything. If I see a wall of enemies stampeding towards me like a giant mob of Bill Cosby, I want a warlock that can hold them back, whether it be by Nova Bomb madness, the Storm Trance, or Radiance. And I hope my allies can rely on me to hold the boss, keep his attention, and deal massive damage. Or go for guaranteed revives with cloaking. Or hold a mob of enemies down while they blast them to pieces, getting orbs charging their supers. Classes mesh together well, each having a massive strong point when used right. While gun fighting allows you to be universal, your abilities highlight strong points which you can work with and become incredibly strong in. While crucible offers a balance where each class can work another down equally, it's nice to have variety, multiple tactics, and capabilities spanning wide ranges.
So to all of you saying that you're the "master class"
git gud
Edit: This is a PvE focused article. I'd appreciate if you guys would feed your thoughts and bump this up.
Edit 2: 50 replies- that's never happened before...

Edited by TruncateComb6: 10/16/2015 12:11:26 AMI'm just hate how everyone can't just get along. It's seems every other person likes to generalize class or whine. This forum is so toxic.

While you make good points, that I 100% agree with.... Still gotta say...warlocks are the most versatile. They were designed to be the middle path. Like pve? Titan Like pvp? Hunter Like both? Warlock Of course, the new subclasses kinda helped, but then they still have two classes that are a tad mediocre outside of their respective fields. Warlocks, on the other hand, aren't the best in pvp, or the best in pve, but they can fill so many roles and are viable I'm just about every situation. I like to pop song of flame during bosses in raids to fill up everybody's supers and grenades and melees to fill everybody's supers. Stormcaller in strikes where I can clear rooms and do considerable damage to bosses. Voidwalker I can clear huge adds or take down majors in a single use. I like all the classes, but I like warlocks the most because of this.

Hell yeah.

Bump. I want people reading this.

5 RepliesHunters don't like competition.

4 Repliesbut seriously can we get a pve damage buff to arcblade?

I completely agree with you. I don't do PvP much, and judge Subclasses mainly on their PvE potential, of which all of them have some. This post needs to be bumped so we can show that just cuz people don't like it in PvP, doesn't mean it can't be used in PvP. Really starting to hate all the Hunters and Warlocks nagging on Sunbreaker just cuz it one hit kills in PvP. Yeah, it does, but let's look at it from a different angle, yeah? Despite my rant, good post mate. Hope you make some more. Never know how much change a single person can make.

Great post. I like to see diversity in my fireteam so we can handle any situation.

You da real mvp

2 RepliesCompletely agree. My main fireteam has one of each. Good thoughts and way to make a positive post :)

1 ReplyI did the raid once with 4 hunters who had celestial night hawk and to bubble Titans. It was extremely easy, oryx would flinch like a second after he opened his chest.

1 ReplyIt's PvE it doesn't really matter... Strikes don't *need* anything particular and the raid you'll generally have at least one of everything. That being said doing Kings Fall without a Titan was annoying when we got to Oryx... You can just play what you want and have fun. Class balance is only really relevant in PvP.

1 ReplyI love all of the classes uses, I just hate playing anything but Hunter. Mages have never been my favorite kind of class and Tanks aren't really my playstyle but I love to have all of them in a group outside of doing a challenge like "Hunter only VOG" or "Bubble-chaining is the only way to move around in the Skolas arena" but where you specifically need all of one class or mostly one class. PvP is something I don't play too much, really only when Iron Banner comes out, and all I can complain about is sometimes not 1 shot head shotting a Hammer with my Stillpeircer.

1 ReplyYou...can i hug you for this? We need more people who think like you.

2 RepliesNah Hunters #1 any other zero and below. Nah I'm just kidding. Or am I. But seriously the classes do go very well with each other. That I can agree on. They all have there special abilities that the other does not.

1 ReplyFinally someone that has a clue and is not obsessed with one class and believes that the other two are garbage! I have all three, my favorites is the Warlock, then Titan, then Hunter. That being said I do see the place for all 3. They all have their advantages and disadvantages in certain situation, and when you have a fireteam with one or two of each, they compliment each other perfectly. Wouldn't it be boring to have a fireteam of all Hunters, all Warlocks, all Titans? YES!!!
