Weapon parts nerf??!?!?! Really??????
In the update they mention nerfing the yield of weapon parts
When has anyone ever said amount of weapon parts from dismantling items is hurting the game in any way????????
update 10/19: lots of great posts and ideas below- also good to see some potentially good news in the weekly update last week about weapon parts amounts getting re-adjusted.

I got down to zero yesterday. Had to finally dismantle some old legendary weapons just for the weapon parts. I'm -blam!-ed!

I have 4 weapon parts in my inventory. Not enough to upgrade a single weapon node on a legendary weapon. Not enough to infuse a single weapon. Not enough to buy a single telemetry. This nerf is -blam!-ing baffling. I am a day 1 player with 700+ hours in destiny. I haven't had more than 100 weapon parts in my inventory in 6+ months.

I took a long break during house of wolves. I see it happening again. Rewards in year 2 are almost laughable. Night falls suck. The grind is worse then ever before. It's getting old.

They really should consider allowing trading of planet mats for weapon parts. Im bewildered as to why they would reduce weapon part yeilds.

I have a hard time getting weapon parts as it is when TTK released. And now they -blam!-ed us even more. I'm getting tired of them making this game worse than it all ready is. Yes TTK was a right stepping stone, but only in certain areas of the game. If they continue to ruin the game further, I'll no longer support this franchise or Bungie.

5 RepliesIt will be because of the glitch there was with equipping blue items in all slots using 6 motes then breaking all the blues down to get more motes that everything has been nerfed. Why do streamers/YouTubes have to go posting everything like this over and over again just getting more and more things nerfed.

The weapon parts nerf pissed me off. I mean I can hardly hang on to 40 weapon parts. You get around 2 parts for dismantling one blue and have to use like 5 to 10 parts to upgrade something once. Total bullshit. I'm calling weapon parts being sold by tess next.

Yeah this makes no sense at all unless they have plans of silver purchase for this stuff. If that happens, I will become quite disappointed with this game.

5 RepliesIt is because of the exploit people were doing. Using 5 motes of light to level up 7-8 equipped blues which yielded back more motes of light and weopon parts than was used to level them up. So blame exploiters as usual.
