I suppose im just accustomed to most games with emotes giving me jillions, for free. I'd really rather they focus more on creating a good game than advertising. Everyone knows of Destiny, now. There are several large problems with the game. I would love to see a comparison in the money they've invested into advertisement vs what has been invested into the game

22 RepliesSo, so, vehemently against "freeium games" and micro transactions in video games. Yeah, it starts with this, then it's shaders and emblems, then it's increase drop rates then it's going to be exclusive armor and guns, and all of it is solely to suck as much money out of you as possibile for as little investment as possibile and i think that's total bullshit from any game company. Like, i own a business, i get that you have to be profitable as a business, Bungie/Activision isn't in this shit for charity, but i feel that if you want to make a profit from your product, make a good product and people will buy it I spent the 400 they gave me, i will never ever spend real world money on in game currency, not for destiny, not for any game, f that son, i already spent money buying the dlc. They WILL at some point in the near future sell some "must have" op armor or weapon that's going to rule pvp and allow people to blow through pve and when that happens I'll probably move on, because I'm not playing ball with that, it's why I don't play call of duty

Waste of $. But, thanks for your support. This $ will hopefully reduce the cost of future DLC. Even heard the 2 remaining expansions may be free so, by all means, keep throwing away your $ :)

4 RepliesGTa has been running solely on microtransactions for money so people can buy awesome new cars, guns, and planes. Nobody blinks an eye. When bungie introduce microtransactions for cosmetic and luck boosts, everybody lost their minds. Gta is pumping out free dlc with microtransactions. Destiny is giving free dlc guaranteed until the fall of 2016.

However, spending it frivolously and on something so intangible and immaterial while you could easily spend it on something that actually helps anyone or any thing outside of yourself just shows how intrinsic and self satisfying your character is. Donate to s charity. Take that $20 and treat someone to dinner. Buy your kid a board game. Etc.
