I work at an inpatient program for troubled teenage girls.
They're suicidal mostly, some have behavioral issues, and some just have no place to call home and being in these facilities so long has turned them into someone they're not.
I've had to cut clothing off their necks, take sharp objects out of their hands, and assure them that even with all their troubles there's a reason to live.
Sometimes when I do it, I get told I'm doing too much for them because my coworkers don't do enough for them.

One hell of a job. Wish there was more people like you in the world (working harder than required just to help random people)

Thanks. It's a demanding field. As in, they're always demanding more people. There was an article posted about a facility we've received a few girls from. They've had so many people out from injuries on the job, it could fill about 5 years. Had to take 3 days due to a concussion in June from being hit with a dumbbell

A dumbbell! Good on you for going back, I know there's no way I could As cliche as its sounds thanks for changing lives as I'm sure you have

Thank you for appreciating me
