This is so great haha, it was about time. I'm actually really curious to see how all the shotguns will pan out now. Very very interesting

It won't matter, they should worried about other weapons like the ttk using a pulse rifle its insane.

1 ReplyIt still will kill and scrub whiners will find something else to cry nerf!
-
It's ok I still have my felwinter lie
-
Edited by Abbii07: 10/9/2015 12:02:43 AMIts okay, none of my shotguns have that perk so idc ☺
-
Yea not really bugged about this "nerf" if you're in PVP and are literally 2 feet from another guardian and can't kill them with a shotgun without the Shot package perk then it's simple, you can't use a shotgun...yet, get practice it's not that big of a deal. Since we are talking about "nerf" they said Hawkmoon was going to be garbage after its patch and I got one(again) from Cryptarc (atk 290) hawkmoon still 2-3 shot kill in PVP, so I guess just try the "new nerf" before you assume anything? Have fun guys and gals it's just a game...

4 RepliesSo they're replacing it with kneepads or another perk... What if my old party crasher ends up with 2 kneepad perks? This needs to happen...
-
Always liked full auto shotguns ever since re1 lol. So prefer them
-
5 RepliesCan Bungie stop being so cheap and develop PvP only gear.
-
12 RepliesSee you all in trials with my felwinters lie
-
Fair enough. It was a tough perk to balance. I've always preferred fast shotties like invective anyways.
-
Now all we got left is... Whether we like or not, we've stepped into a war with shotguns in the Crucible. Rangefinder, based on what I can tell, he commands the OG shotguns of the crucible. But with the right team, we can punch through their cheeses and nerf them to hell.

Idk, Felwinter's w/ aggressive ballistics and reinforced barrel. It had shot package too. - Joe29687, aka Titan Lord

1 ReplyYeah it's about time honestly. But they're still OP
-
9 RepliesI am ok as long as it is on PvP. But..if it effecting PvE...they just make guns worse and worse. All TTK guns in PvE are already worse than HoW. and HoW weapons are worse than TDB TDB weapons are worse than VOG. basically they just make weapons getting worse and worse...aka not fun to use anymore.
-
For now.
-
So happy I was a range finder player and not a shot package player.
-
we will just go back to shotgun-melee. Especially if they are replacing the perk with up close and personal.
-
1 ReplyWill be pointless using them, just like auto rifles, 95% of hand cannons, slow firing scout rifles and Final round snipers. Never ever known a game to have so many Buffs/nerfs before across so many gun types Have I ever shot anyone with a shotgun and thought to myself 'damn that was a bit far' Yes. Have I ever shot people point blank with a shotty only for them to survive? A hell of a lot more and that's a fact. The extra ranged kills come combined with final round or luck in the chamber. I've never shot someone without either of those perks from any unbelievable distance
-
Tears will still flow until shotguns shoot confetti or something similar. Maybe marshmallows?
-
1 ReplySo did they remove it from pre-existing shotguns as well or just future ones?
-
There is still one shot package gun out there, it's called chaperone. And it has a precision kill activated rangefinder worked into it as well.
-
Soooo disapponting....ah Not!! About freakin time!!
-
I can see clearly now the scrubs are gone

4 RepliesEdited by Kalyx triaD: 10/8/2015 11:05:53 PMFor the people saying they should remove Rangefinder, or that people will gravitate to it: Rangefinder is contextual, in that you have to ADS to get it to work. ADS limits awareness and vision; great for precision with certain weapons, not so great for shotguns. That Rangefinder asks you to use a shotgun in an un-shottie way balances out the concept of Rangefinder. Shot Package allowed traditional use of shotties, 'point and click,', with a disproportionate payoff that was braindead. It led to egregious kills that, because many of us are FPS veterans, never quite felt right. Shot Package allowed a shotgun we've never seen in a respectable FPS game, and this change was long overdue. Edit: I got things totally mixed up, sorry.

Range finder will still be a thing. I used that over shot package and still sniped with the shotgun.
-
Hypes about this lol. Glad my year 2 shotgun rolls rangefinder instead of Shot package
