When is bungie going to make a challenging weapon to get?
Touch of Malice was cake SS was even easier. I got touch like day 3 or 4 of the raid and I got a 310 SS within 20 mins of the daily reset. Hardly any effort was needed for either of these "rare" weapons. They should make a weapon that requires you to solo a bunch of difficult tasks in order to get it. Does anyone else agree?
Edit: for all you people saying chaperone. This post is intended for the pve part of the game.

Challenging is a very subjective term. What may be easy for you may just be completely impossible for someone else. It is not easy to design a quest that is balanced enough to be challenging for the hard core players but not impossible for others.

4 RepliesI miss RNG even though I only got ghorn a few months before TTK. It just felt more rewarding than having everything handed to you. 3oC was a dumb idea. They should have just made the ultra drop rate for exotics like .1or.2%

I'm gonna say this matchmade saber quest for sleeper is a bitch. I keep getting people who die a few times at the warsat then bail. It's annoying as hell. It's a challenge for the simple fact that getting a fireteam who can handle it seems near impossible at this point.

1 ReplyHave you gotten the Chaperone and Black Spindle? Because your stats seem to indicate that they would certainly be challenging for you unless you are getting carried (Black Spindle quest). The Raid isn't difficult, just pointlessly time consuming when someone always seems to have to mess up their role, and anyone can mindlessly collect the Calcified fragments for ToM. Sleeper Simulent is basically the same thing: just time consuming unless you get lucky with the Warsat spawns (took me 3 damn hours to get the Mars one). So I'll agree those are easy. The Chaperone on the other hand isn't unless you're good at Crucible (I consider myself pretty good, so it was easy for me tbh). Black Hammer is difficult unless you have a well geared group who is better than the average player. I spent 3 hours with a an average group trying to get it when the quest was first discovered. Finally gave up on that group and formed a group with my brother and a friend (high skill group) and we finished it with a minute or two to spare on the first attempt. So difficulty really is all relative to you and your fireteam. If you happen to have an amazing static fireteam, then of course everything will be easy, but for a lot of people this isn't the case.

6 RepliesHow exactly do you define "difficult"? I remember having a pitch fit trying to get something for the sword Calabolg, in Final Fantasy 10. You had to ride a Chocobo (giant yellow attack chickens, for those unfamiliar), in a race down a hill and across a plain, all the while dodging birds that for some reason kept flying in your face. To beat the race, you had to do it in -0.1 seconds or less (you read that right). That meant not only did you NOT hit a single bird, you had to make every turn perfectly, find the absolutely quickest path to the end, and hit every single gosh darn McGuffin to lower your accumulated time on the way to the finish line. That was difficult. That was not fun. Also, no matter how clever the puzzle, the collective minds of the community will blow through it.
