Simulant or Thunderlord?

Edited by TheFrozenInferno: 10/9/2015 8:20:38 AMLMG's just don't have the range. You can do a massive crit shot from across the map with the Sleeper. That's one thing a lot of players aren't taking into account is the range. Yes, you can do more damage with a sword, if you want to get right into a bosses face and take a lot of damage or risk dying while doing it. Yes, LMG's can do a lot of damage also, but you have to be relatively close to consistently hit crits and ones like Thunderlord can be jumpy and hard to control. Different weapons for different styles I guess. I'll use Sleeper in a lot of situations, not all the time, but I can say for sure I'll use it more than I use an LMG.

Don't have either yet, but I'd probably choose TL because it's more versatile and I'm likely to miss a shot off and on and with the ammo capacity of the SS that's a LOT of potential damage wasted. I remember equipping Ruin Wings and with the Field Scout perk on the TL in Year One, I could pretty much use TL as a primary. Good times! Actually, GREAT times, there.

The simulant might take out 3 enemies while thundelord will kill them all ... Easy choice

Bolt Caster. Spam that RT attack and watch the health bars tumble without needing to be up in their grill.
