sleeper simulant ghorns competition? ha I don't think so
Everyone that is going crazy over Sleeper Simulant should stop right now (that means you YouTubers). I remember GameInformer made an article in the summer saying Sleeper Simulant is Ghorns competition. Well they are WRONG. Number 1: it's a fusion rifle. The only good fusion rifle in the whole game is Telesto. Otherwise, any other fusion rifle in the game is trash. Why? Because Bungie thinks that fusion rifles were op and they nerfed them. Number 2: We have seen the exotic swords, I'm pretty sure they will be the best exotic heavy in the game. I love my Raze Lighter and I won't replace it with a stupid heavy fusion rifle.
EDIT: it's so funny seeing all the people who are trying to defend Sleeper... haha I'm dying over here. gotta love little kids
EDIT 2: yes i know i havent used the gun yet but im all set with my exotic sword and the other exotic swords i will have soon. i dont like fusion rifles that much besides telesto (i did kinda have fun with vex but it wasnt the best in pve). say what you say about SS but for me, i got my exotic swords
FINAL EDIT: look, it's my opinion, you guys may think it will be good but for me, I don't think SS will be good. I prefer my Raze Lighter

1 ReplyI'm not taking a position on it but just be ready to be wrong. It may be amazing, and it may be the biggest piece of crap ever. I mean everyone on this post is clearly and expert on the matter, since you know... 1. The gun isn't out yet. 2. To my knowledge, we have no gameplay. 3. It's the first of it's kind, and we have no standard to judge heavy fusion rifles by.

Just saying, there's plenty of good fusion rifles. They don't snipe people 50-60 feet away like the vanilla fusion rifles, but they can easily out-range shotguns.

It's not technically just a simple fusion rifle. Its a heavy weapon and will likely melt bosses.

The snippet of footage I seen confirmed it's not ghorn, it didn't even kill that major, ghorn always kills majors.

Nerfs to fusion rifles applied mostly to the cone/spread of the projectiles. Sleeper fires a single projectile, which does not trigger the cone nerf since it is not spread based. Sleeper will be fine. Queenbreaker and Vex are mentioned as exceptions to fusion Rifle nerfs so they stay where they are at, so will be the same with Sleeper.

There's a reason why Bungie didn't bring Gally to year 2, even with the Wolfpack rounds nerf, it was still the highest damage RL in the game. The key feature is wolfpack rounds. SS exotic perk is allowing the bullet to bounce around the surface 5 times which potentially allows you to hit an enemy 5 times or multiple enemies.....[i]only in enclosed area[/i], try landing multiple hits against Atheon? Or Crota? The environment is too huge, there's almost zero chance for the exotic to work effectively. The only opportunity for SS exotic perk to be useful appears to be Omnigul fight.
