I told the kid he was red-barring, and that it was an utter pain trying to kill him (the typical disappearing/reappearing in front of you stuff, came in first both times we played him). His response was that it wasn't intentional, and to "suck it". I said "don't play if you're going to make the experience unenjoyable for the rest of the lobby".
So...we play him and his two clanmates again. He kills me literally five or six times and teabags me every time. Of course, I was helpless in that he was basically invulnerable. Is that really necessary?
Edit: Seems to be a lot of red bars here. I'm just saying, I go a step further. Since Bungie doesn't seem to check the reports as much as they should, I will *gladly* message the player I report letting them know I did such.
Well kids, the Hive have been awoken. So, with that being said, have a nice day.
Eh, one more edit: Can we all agree it would be nice if Bungie could make dedicated servers for this game? It (most likely) won't happen, but we can all dream, right? I know, I know, lots of money to maintain, blah blah blah...but surely they've made a ton during Destiny's infancy to finance it, and also operate on the assumption they will make a ton more money from the future expansions/sequels?
Continue having a nice day.

Bend over and TAKE IT!!!!!!

U instigated it

I agree. Every red bar should be relegated to small local games. Go lag somewhere else. All you poor dialup players should sell your consoles and pay for a decent internet service.
-
23 RepliesYou do that every time? You know if someone lives on the other side of the planet and they play with you it's gonna red bar right? You also know a majority of people don't live alone and have to share their network right? What is reporting gonna do? "Oh I live in new Zealand and got reported for red barring, I guess I'd better move somewhere closer or just stop playing destiny" "Oh I share a wifi network with my family and i red bar because of it, i guess id better either tell them to get off all their devices or kick them out." You're literally reporting someone because they alter your game experience and when someone else like you does it, they'll get banned and it'll alter their experience cause they cant play. So naturally, they can report you too right? The world doesn't revolve around you, you're going to have to put up with inconveniences every so often. Just deal with it.

Microsoft offers developers/game companies dedicated servers to all games released on the one, look it up.

The issue with pvp is not the lag, it is the fact that players who lag seem to always have the upperhand/are invincible. It doesn't make any sense really.
-
5 RepliesI find the way lag is handled to be extremely annoying, the fact that hits are delayed, players basically become invincible, etc. But, I don't report them, I've had terrible internet service(Upgraded a while ago and now get 90 MBPS/D and 34 MBPS/U) I understand that people want to enjoy the game, but, the way the game handles people who can't afford or don't want to spend extra on internet service, very poorly. So, If I'm going to get frustrated at something, it's the game, not the player in question, unless they're like.. overly cocky, but, I'm sure we'd all react the same, lol.

Burn the Red-Bars. Or regulate then to their own servers so they can see the frustration we feel.
-
1 ReplyDestiny is the only game I've ever seen where people report others for lagging. Especially considering there's no in game leaderboard or even competitive.
-
You do realize that messaging someone to trash talk can get you banned from psn? If he reported you the tables would have been turned for sure. Messaging him can be considered harassment.

Edited by joey big guns: 10/7/2015 5:46:52 PMI report em for having a bad connection. Not my fault their internet sucks. I live in a house and run my xb off wifi, while my roommate uses his in the living room, his chick uses it in their bedroom watching Hulu and the kid in her bedroom watching Netflix. If I can keep my connection in the green then so can you. Pony up some extra cash for better internet. If you are playing somewhere across the world and get put in my lobby and you red bar, you get reported. I don't message them, they know they have a bad connect. I don't need to remind them. There is a option to report for bad connection. Don't like it, oh well. Complain to Bungie for putting it there and telling us to use it.
-
2 RepliesBelieve it or not, people who have a bad connection aren't out to get you! What a concept, right?
-
Here's an innovative and great idea for bungie- if someone can't connect to the mother-blam!-ing server/host well enough, don't let them play. Harsh? Yes. Needed? Yes. Every game there is at least one 1 bar in each team in the game. Why are they even in the game in the first place...? Do it like you do with cheaters/leechers and pair them all with each other, then they can all fizzle out and annoy eachother in their own little corners.
-
All I gotta say is not everyone can control their internet connection.
-
Edited by Despeonia: 10/7/2015 5:35:53 PMNo offense but it was kind of your fault for messaging him. If you hadn't provoked him then you wouldn't have gotten tbagged. Like it's not your job to tell people they're lagging. If it bothers you that much then just leave the game and find a new game. Not everyone has perfect connection or good internet providers. Please be aware before you get mad about things you know? I've told this story in the forums before but my bf and friend got mass reported because of someone like you, for no reason. They weren't lagging and the guy only had 730 points in rift and wasn't doing anything just sitting in a corner for marks.

I don't mind red bars. I occasionally have trouble with my connection that will drop me down to red for a moment. But when a person has green bar the entire game until they get into losing fire fights and glitch away with a sudden red bar connection EVERY time they are in trouble, then something is up.
-
I hate red bars,too.
-
Everyone DDoS this guy with messages on psn
-
Wow you are a complete prick
-
I could link you a video of me just killing people in rift if you'd like...when I get to the end I hit a sunbreaker with arcblade 4 times he loses no health and kills me with a hammer...then my teammate kills him with 1 punch
-
Could be fixed with a server ping limit but meh. Whatever bungie.
-
I was having a yellow bar connection one day, and some guy messaged me saying, "Get out or get reported". I asked him if it was because of lag and he then proceeded to insult me and say how I suck because he couldn't kill me with his Thorn in two shots. I had a good laugh after that.
-
5 RepliesWhat's his gamertag. You should DDOS him lol.
-
You having a go at people makes the game just as bad for others. Your as bad in my eyes.
